The Redmi K100 may have a 10,000mAh battery, according to a tipster report, but neither the capacity nor an end-of-October launch is confirmed. The battery claim concerns an engineering sample of the standard K100, and the available reporting says its final specifications could change.
Does the Redmi K100 really have a 10,000mAh battery?
It is a reported leak, not a confirmed Redmi specification. Gadgets 360 reported on 1 September 2026 that Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station attributed a 10,000mAh battery to an engineering sample of the standard Redmi K100. 91mobiles repeated the claim the following day and cautioned that the final specifications could change.
Until Redmi announces the phone or publishes an official specification sheet, treat 10,000mAh as a rumored capacity. The reporting does not establish the battery’s real-world endurance, charging speed, or how large or heavy a finished phone would be.
Is the Redmi K100 launching by the end of October?
No confirmed end-of-October release date for the standard Redmi K100 is established by the reports. A Gizmochina article from 8 May 2026 discussed tentative October timing for the K100 series, but the device described in that report was not clearly identified as the standard K100. September coverage said there was no confirmed launch date for that model.

That makes “tipped” or “rumored” the accurate description of the timing—not “scheduled” or “confirmed.” The reports also do not establish the K100’s price, retail availability, or which markets would receive it.
What other Redmi K100 specifications have been rumored?
The same reporting attributes several possible features to the phone, but none should be treated as final. Gadgets 360 and 91mobiles described a very high-refresh-rate display, potentially above 165Hz, symmetrical speakers, a large haptic motor, and an ultrasonic fingerprint reader. Gadgets 360 also mentioned IP68 protection and chipset details as rumors, without establishing a finalized specification sheet.

- Audio and haptics: Symmetrical speakers and a large haptic motor are rumored.

- Chipset: Details remain unconfirmed in the available reporting.
These claims do not establish how the finished phone will perform or whether every feature will appear in the retail model.

For now, the K100 is a phone to watch rather than a product with confirmed specifications or a sale date. Do not make a purchase decision based on the reported battery capacity or other leaked features alone. When Redmi announces the device, check the official capacity, charging speed, dimensions and weight, display specifications, price, and release market. Battery capacity by itself cannot tell you how long a phone will last between charges.
