In Xiaomi India’s catalog, the Redmi 15 5G is listed at ₹21,499 and the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G at ₹25,999—a displayed gap of ₹4,500. The Redmi 15 prioritizes a larger screen and higher stated battery capacity; the Note 15 SE adds a curved AMOLED panel, faster rated charging and a higher-resolution selfie camera. These are India 5G models, and the catalog prices can change.
Price difference in India

Which display is better for you?
Choose the Redmi 15 for size and refresh rate
Its 6.9-inch LCD is larger and has a higher listed maximum refresh rate, up to 144Hz. That may suit someone who values a roomy display and smooth scrolling, but the panel is LCD rather than AMOLED.
Choose the Note 15 SE for AMOLED
The Note 15 SE has a smaller, curved 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a listed refresh rate up to 120Hz. The panel technology and curved design may matter more to you than the Redmi 15’s larger screen and higher refresh-rate ceiling. The specifications alone do not establish which screen looks better in practice.

Battery capacity versus charging speed
The Redmi 15 lists a 7,000mAh typical-capacity battery, compared with 5,800mAh typical for the Note 15 SE. Capacity does not establish how long either phone lasts between charges; that depends on use and other factors, and no comparable independent battery test is available here.
The Note 15 SE has the higher rated wired charging power: 45W versus 33W for the Redmi 15. Xiaomi lists a charger in the box for both India models. Xiaomi describes the Redmi 15’s 7,000mAh battery and 33W charging as product features; that marketing statement is not an independent runtime or charging test.

Cameras and performance: what the specs can—and cannot—tell you
The Note 15 SE lists a 20MP front camera, while the Redmi 15 lists an 8MP front camera. Their rear-camera specifications are a 50MP AI dual camera on the Redmi 15 and a 50MP main camera plus a 2MP depth camera on the Note 15 SE. Megapixel counts and camera labels do not prove which phone takes better photos or selfies; there is no matched image-quality test in the available evidence.
The phones also use different chipsets: Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 in the Redmi 15 and Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 in the Note 15 SE. Chipset names alone are not enough to establish a real-world performance winner, and no comparable workload testing is available here.

Water and dust protection
Xiaomi lists IP64 for the Redmi 15 and IP65 plus IP66 for the Note 15 SE. Xiaomi cautions that the Note 15 SE ratings apply under laboratory conditions and can deteriorate through wear or damage. Do not treat either rating as proof that a phone is safe to submerge or that liquid damage is covered by warranty.

- Pick the Redmi 15 5G if the lower displayed India price, larger LCD or higher stated battery capacity is your priority. Xiaomi also publishes a 2-year OS and 4-year security update commitment for this model.
- Pick the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G if you prefer a curved AMOLED panel, higher rated charging power or a higher-resolution front-camera specification, and are willing to pay the higher listed price.
These recommendations are based on published specifications, not hands-on testing. Redmi names and configurations can differ by region, so confirm that a listing is for the India 5G model and check its exact configuration, seller and warranty terms before purchase.
