The India-market realme P1 5G is a good fit if you want a 120Hz AMOLED display, capable everyday performance and long battery life without stretching your budget. Its main compromises are low-light camera quality, preinstalled apps and limited front-glass protection. Whether it is worth buying depends on the price of the exact RAM and storage variant you are considering.
What the realme P1 5G offers
Announced in India in April 2024, the P1 5G is built around a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 processor and a 120Hz AMOLED display. realme lists three common configurations: 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, 8GB with 128GB, and 8GB with 256GB. Availability and specifications can vary by region, software version and supplier.
The manufacturer specifies a 5000mAh typical-capacity battery (4880mAh rated) and 45W SUPERVOOC charging. Its stated 120Hz refresh rate applies in supported apps and scenarios, rather than every screen or task. realme also advertises up to 8GB of virtual dynamic memory alongside up to 8GB physical RAM; virtual memory is software-managed storage, not extra physical RAM. See realme India’s product page for specifications and its qualifications.

How the P1 performs in everyday use
Display
The AMOLED panel and 120Hz refresh rate are among the P1’s strongest reasons to consider it. Reviewers praised the display, and Digit recorded 1,312 nits in its direct-sunlight test. That brightness figure is Digit’s measurement under its own test conditions, not a guaranteed result for every unit or setting.
Speed and gaming
Review coverage found the Dimensity 7050 capable for everyday use and gaming. Digit reported an AnTuTu v10 score of 6,07,055 and said BGMI and Call of Duty: Mobile ran at medium graphics in its gaming tests. These are outlet-specific results, not a promise of identical frame rates in every game or after extended play.
Battery and charging
Battery endurance was another positive in the reviews, but the reported results differ and should not be combined into a single expected figure. MySmartPrice reported 6–7 hours of use under moderate-to-heavy workloads, 52% charge after 30 minutes, and a full charge in 1 hour 12 minutes. Digit reported 8–9 hours of screen-on time and around 50% charge after 30 minutes. Both sets describe their respective review units and test procedures; your results will depend on settings, network conditions and usage.

Where the realme P1 falls short
Low-light photography
Low-light camera performance is the clearest recurring weakness. MySmartPrice described noise and grain, weak detail and a brief image-processing delay in its review. Digit likewise found low-light photography subpar. If night scenes, indoor photos or dependable camera results are a priority, treat this as a meaningful compromise rather than a minor spec-sheet caveat.
Software clutter
Both review publications flagged preinstalled apps as a downside. A cluttered initial setup may require time spent removing or disabling apps, and buyers who value a cleaner software experience should weigh that against the P1’s display and performance strengths.

Build details
Digit noted sharp-feeling sides, thick bezels and the absence of Gorilla Glass protection. These points matter if you prefer rounded edges or stronger named front-glass protection. The IP54-equivalent claim concerns protection against water and dust under the manufacturer’s lab basis; it does not change the reviewer’s observation about front-glass protection.

Gadgets 360 reported a starting price of ₹13,999 in a listing snapshot dated 7 October 2026. Quick Recap
Who should buy the realme P1 5G?
- Consider it if a fast AMOLED screen, responsive everyday performance, gaming at moderate settings, stereo speakers and battery endurance matter more to you than low-light photography.
- Look elsewhere if you want stronger low-light camera results, fewer preinstalled apps or Gorilla Glass protection.
- Judge it by today’s deal for the exact configuration. The reviews discuss alternatives including the Motorola G54, POCO X6 Neo, Vivo T3, Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G and Motorola G64, but the cited coverage does not establish current prices or a present-day ranking. Compare current equivalents on performance, screen, cameras, battery and charging, software, protection, and price before choosing.
