For buyers in India, the realme GT 7 is the lower-priced option in the available price snapshot, while the OnePlus 15R lists a faster-refresh display and a larger battery. Choose the GT 7 if a dedicated telephoto camera and realme’s stated 120 W charging matter more; choose the 15R if you value its listed 165 Hz refresh rate and 7,400 mAh battery. The price gap and each phone’s strengths should be checked against the exact storage variant you plan to buy.
What is the India price difference?
At the time the 91mobiles comparison page was accessed in 2026, it displayed the realme GT 7 at ₹50,999 and the OnePlus 15R at ₹59,999—a difference of ₹9,000, with the GT 7 lower. These are volatile displayed prices, not guaranteed current offers or confirmed like-for-like prices. Before buying, compare the same RAM and storage configuration, seller, and applicable discounts.
The phones also have different India launch dates listed on that page: 27 May 2025 for the GT 7 and 22 December 2025 for the 15R. Those dates provide context, but do not establish which model is the better value at today’s price.

Which display is the better fit?
The OnePlus 15R has the higher listed refresh rate at 165 Hz, compared with 120 Hz on the GT 7. A higher refresh rate can make supported motion look smoother, but the difference depends on the content and apps you use. The GT 7, meanwhile, is explicitly listed as using an LTPO AMOLED panel; the comparison listing does not identify the 15R display as LTPO. The available specifications do not establish a universal display-quality winner.
Which phone has the better battery and charging combination?
The 15R’s listed battery capacity is 7,400 mAh, 400 mAh more than the GT 7’s 7,000 mAh. Capacity alone does not show which phone lasts longer in everyday use; no comparable endurance test for both models is established here.

Charging figures also come from different kinds of evidence. realme advertises 120 W wired charging and claims a 0–100% charge in 40 minutes under its stated conditions. TechRadar lists 80 W charging for the 15R and reports measuring 1 hour 25 minutes for its own 0–100% charge test. That is a reviewer measurement for the 15R, not a controlled head-to-head test against the GT 7, and it should not be treated as directly comparable to realme’s manufacturer claim. Check the exact regional model and included charging equipment before relying on those figures.

The clearest hardware distinction is zoom. The GT 7 comparison listing includes a 50 MP telephoto camera with up to 2× optical zoom; the 15R listing names main and ultrawide cameras but no telephoto. If you often photograph subjects that are easier to frame at a distance, the GT 7 has the more explicit dedicated zoom hardware on these specifications.

- 161.8 x 76.9 x 8.2 mm (6.37 x 3.03 x 0.32 in)
That does not establish that the GT 7 takes better photos overall. Megapixel counts and the presence of a telephoto camera do not determine image quality by themselves, and the available material does not provide a controlled photo comparison. Both phones list a 32 MP front camera, but matching resolution does not prove equivalent selfie quality. OnePlus describes the 15R’s main camera as a Sony IMX906 sensor.
What about performance and software support?
The phones use different chipsets: MediaTek Dimensity 9400e in the GT 7 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 in the 15R. Without comparable independent testing under the same conditions, those names alone do not establish which phone performs better in games, sustained workloads, or daily use. Avoid treating benchmark figures from different sources or test setups as a direct contest.

OnePlus identifies the 15R’s software as OxygenOS 16. TechRadar reports four years of software updates and six years of security patches for the phone; that is the publication’s reported support period, so confirm the official India policy if update longevity is central to your decision. An equivalent GT 7 support-period figure is not established in the available product information, so a parity comparison would be unsupported.
Which one should you buy?
- Choose the realme GT 7 if its current price is meaningfully lower for the same storage configuration, or if the dedicated telephoto camera and realme’s stated 120 W charging are priorities.
- Choose the OnePlus 15R if you prefer its listed 165 Hz display refresh rate, larger stated battery capacity, or the software-support period reported by TechRadar.
- Compare listings before checkout if price is decisive: the ₹9,000 gap is a 91mobiles snapshot, not a guaranteed live difference between identical variants.
Neither the larger battery figure nor the higher refresh rate proves a better overall experience for every buyer. The practical choice turns on which documented hardware feature you will use and the current price of the exact India variant.
