In India, the realme GT 7T launched ₹2,000 above the GT 6T for the matching 8GB/256GB configuration: ₹34,999 versus ₹32,999. That is a historical launch-price comparison, not a current price quote. The clearest spec differences are the GT 7T’s listed MediaTek Dimensity 8400-MAX platform and 7000mAh typical battery, compared with the GT 6T’s Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 and 5500mAh typical battery. Both official pages advertise 120W charging.
Launch price: the GT 7T cost ₹2,000 more in the matching configuration
Reported India launch prices put the GT 6T 8GB/256GB at ₹32,999 in 2024 and the GT 7T 8GB/256GB at ₹34,999 in 2025. Subtracting those figures gives a ₹2,000 difference. Because the models launched in different years, this comparison describes their reported launch prices only; it does not show what either phone costs now.
Moneycontrol also reported GT 6T launch prices of ₹35,999 for 12GB/256GB and ₹39,999 for 12GB/512GB, alongside an 8GB/128GB variant. Gadgets 360 reported ₹34,999 as the GT 7T’s starting price for 8GB/256GB. These reports do not establish a current price or a full like-for-like price ladder for both phones. Moneycontrol’s GT 6T launch report and Gadgets 360’s GT 7T launch coverage provide the cited launch figures.
The realme Store India listing surfaced both models but did not provide usable numeric prices. Check current listings for the same RAM and storage configuration, and compare seller warranty and return terms before buying.

Specifications can vary by market and product-page version. For the GT 6T, the global specifications and India product page do not show the same maximum storage configuration, so verify the exact India SKU rather than treating every listed figure as one universal variant. The GT 6T figures above come from realme’s global GT 6T specifications and realme India’s GT 6T product page. GT 7T information comes from realme India’s GT 7T product page.
Performance: different chipsets, but no verified head-to-head result
The listed processors differ: the GT 6T uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, while the GT 7T lists MediaTek’s Dimensity 8400-MAX. This identifies a hardware distinction, not a measured verdict on which phone feels faster, handles sustained gaming better, or runs cooler. No independent side-by-side benchmark or thermal results are established here.

realme advertises the GT 7T as supporting up to 120 FPS modes in more than 20 games. That is a manufacturer claim, not proof that every listed game will sustain that frame rate in every setting. Real-world performance can depend on the game, software version, temperature, and selected graphics options.
Battery and charging: larger capacity on the GT 7T
realme lists a 7000mAh typical battery for the GT 7T and a 5500mAh typical battery for the GT 6T. The GT 7T therefore has the larger stated capacity, but capacity alone does not establish how long either phone lasts. Screen brightness, network conditions, gaming, software, and other usage affect runtime; comparable independent endurance results are not established here.

Both product pages advertise 120W charging, but use different names: 120W SUPERVOOC for the GT 6T and 120W Ultra Charge for the GT 7T. Verify the regional model and the included adapter before assuming the same charging accessories or in-box contents. The GT 6T India box list includes a protective case and screen protect film; the available GT 7T information does not establish its full box contents.
Display brightness claims are not directly comparable
The GT 6T global specifications give a 6.78-inch, 2780 × 1264 display with refresh rates up to 120Hz and break brightness out by measurement category, including typical, HBM, and APL figures. realme markets the GT 7T as having a 6000-nit Pro-Esports Display. These figures use different descriptions and may reflect different measurement conditions, so they should not be read as a like-for-like brightness test or a guarantee of sustained full-screen brightness.

Cameras, software, and regional details to check
Camera hardware
The GT 6T global page specifies a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main camera with optical image stabilization, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 32MP selfie camera. The cited GT 7T India page identifies an IMX896 camera but does not establish the complete camera system in the available product-page excerpt. Hardware listings alone do not establish which phone takes better photos; comparable independent camera testing is not available here.

Software and connectivity
The GT 6T global specifications list Android 14 with realme UI 5.0, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC. The cited GT 7T page excerpt does not establish its software version or complete connectivity details. Check the exact regional specification sheet and the software version on the handset before treating those details as equivalent across models.
Durability claims
realme advertises IP69 protection for the GT 7T. This is a manufacturer-stated rating; it does not mean the phone is indestructible or remove the need to follow the warranty and care guidance for the specific regional model.
Which phone makes more sense?
- Consider the GT 7T if its 7000mAh typical battery and Dimensity 8400-MAX are the features you value, and its current price for your chosen configuration is acceptable. The specifications alone do not prove longer runtime or faster performance in your use.
- Consider the GT 6T if you find it at a meaningfully lower current price and its listed chipset, display, and camera configuration meet your needs. Its ₹32,999 8GB/256GB launch price is historical, not a current offer.
- Before choosing either, compare the same RAM and storage tier, confirm the exact regional SKU, and check current price, seller warranty, return terms, and charging adapter inclusion.
The launch-price premium gives a useful point of reference, but it cannot settle today’s value decision. The GT 7T’s larger stated battery and different chipset are clear specification changes; choosing between them on actual speed, endurance, thermals, or camera quality would require comparable independent testing.
