The Vivo T5 Pro is the stronger pick if prices are close: its listed screen is much sharper, its processor is higher-tier, and its charging is faster. The realme 16T may be better value if it costs substantially less in the same RAM and storage configuration and you do not need those advantages. Available price snapshots are from different sellers and dates, so check current like-for-like checkout prices before deciding.
Compare the same configuration and current price first
The launch prices below were reported by 91mobiles on 25 May 2026. They are historical launch-price claims, not current offers. Compare phones with the same RAM and storage, then check the seller’s current checkout price, availability, and any applicable delivery charges.

Later-crawled 91mobiles comparison listings showed Amazon India price indications of ₹27,999 for the realme and ₹37,180 for the vivo. Separately, the vivo India store displayed ₹41,999 for a selected T5 Pro 8GB + 128GB configuration when accessed on 7 October 2026. These are seller/page snapshots, not a same-seller, same-time comparison; the vivo store figure is also higher than the 91mobiles Amazon indication. Treat them as prompts to verify live listings, not as proof that one model currently costs a fixed amount.

What do you gain with the Vivo’s display?
Both phones are listed at 144Hz and have similarly sized screens, but the panel and resolution differ considerably. 91mobiles’ 25 May 2026 comparison lists the realme with a 6.8-inch 720 × 1570 HD+ LCD and the vivo with a 6.83-inch 1260 × 2800 1.5K AMOLED. The vivo India store also confirms a 6.83-inch 2800 × 1260 AMOLED display.

On those specifications, the Vivo has the clear advantage for fine detail and the AMOLED panel type. That does not by itself establish which screen you will prefer: brightness, color tuning, and personal viewing preferences matter too. If display sharpness is important to you, the realme’s lower listed resolution is a substantial compromise even though its refresh-rate figure matches the Vivo’s.
How different are their processors?
The comparison lists a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 for the realme and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 for the vivo. 91mobiles reported AnTuTu scores of 633,631 for the realme 16T 5G and 1,167,242 for the Vivo T5 Pro in its 2026 comparison. The article text available for those figures does not specify the benchmark version or test protocol, and they are not results from an independent test conducted for this article. Use them as a directional comparison reported by 91mobiles, not a guarantee of how either phone will perform in every game or app.

For a buyer who prioritizes demanding games or heavier multitasking, the Vivo’s listed chipset and higher reported score give it the stronger specification case. If your use is mostly everyday browsing, messaging, video, and lighter apps, the price difference may matter more than benchmark rankings.
Battery capacity and charging
91mobiles lists an 8,000mAh battery and 45W charging for the realme, versus 9,020mAh and 90W for the vivo. The vivo India product page independently confirms its 9,020mAh battery and 90W charging. On paper, the Vivo has both the larger capacity and twice the stated charging wattage; actual charging time depends on conditions and is not established by these specifications.
91mobiles also reported PCMark battery-test results of 17.7 hours for the realme and 18.7 hours for the vivo. Those are results from the publication’s reported test, not promised everyday runtimes. Screen settings, network conditions, apps, and usage can change how long a phone lasts in practice.
Camera specifications: rear setups are similar on paper
The 91mobiles comparison lists 50MP main rear cameras and 2MP secondary rear cameras for both phones. It lists a 16MP front camera for the realme and a 32MP front camera for the vivo; vivo’s official product page identifies the T5 Pro rear cameras as a 50MP Sony IMX882 plus a 2MP bokeh sensor and confirms a 32MP front camera.

The higher front-camera resolution is a specification advantage for the Vivo, but megapixels alone do not establish photo quality. No controlled comparative photo test is available in the cited material, so there is no sound basis here to declare one phone’s portraits, low-light photos, or video better overall.
Software support and durability evidence
In its 25 May 2026 comparison, 91mobiles said Vivo promised up to three OS upgrades and five years of security patches for the T5 Pro. The same article said a model-specific update policy for the realme 16T had not been disclosed at that time. That is a dated account, not proof that the policy remains unchanged; check each manufacturer’s current India support information for the exact model before buying if update longevity is a deciding factor.

91mobiles reported IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for the realme, and IP68 and IP69 for the vivo. These are third-party-reported model specifications, not independently confirmed here against official regional documentation. Verify the rating for the India variant with the manufacturer, and do not treat an IP rating as a promise that water damage is covered by warranty.
