The realme 16 is the stronger fit if you want a sharper AMOLED display and a higher-resolution selfie camera; the vivo Y51 Pro 5G is the better fit if you want a larger screen, a slightly higher-capacity battery and an official IP68/IP69 rating. A comparison listing showed the vivo ₹4,004 cheaper, but that price snapshot can change and should be checked against matching configurations.

Which phone has the better display?
Choose realme 16 for detail and AMOLED
The realme 16’s 1080 × 2372 Flexible AMOLED panel has substantially more pixels than the vivo’s 1570 × 720 LCD. That makes realme the more compelling specification choice for fine detail and AMOLED contrast. Both screens are listed at 120 Hz.
Choose vivo Y51 Pro for screen size
The vivo has the larger listed display at 6.75 inches, compared with 6.57 inches on the realme. Its listed 1570 × 720 resolution is HD+ class; a conflicting “QHD (2k)” category label on the comparison listing does not match those pixel dimensions, so the dimensions are the useful figure to compare.

Which phone is faster?
The comparison listing names a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo in the realme 16 and a Dimensity 7360 Turbo in the vivo Y51 Pro. It lists both processors at up to 2.5 GHz, but that single figure does not establish which phone performs better in games, apps or sustained workloads. No comparable independent benchmark for both phones is established here.
vivo says the Y51 Pro scored more than 920,000 in AnTuTu Benchmark V11. The company identifies this as lab data from the 8 GB + 256 GB model; it is a manufacturer result, not an independent head-to-head test. See vivo’s product page for the qualification.

Which has the better cameras?
Both phones are listed with a 50 MP primary rear camera and a 2 MP secondary rear camera. Those headline resolutions do not show that their photos will look equally good: image processing, optics and shooting conditions also matter. vivo specifies 4K recording at 30 fps for the Y51 Pro’s rear camera.

The realme 16’s listed 50 MP front camera has a higher nominal resolution than the vivo’s 8 MP front camera. That makes the realme the more attractive choice on selfie-camera specifications alone, but megapixels do not guarantee better-looking selfies.

Battery capacity, charging and durability
Capacity and charging are different trade-offs
The vivo Y51 Pro is listed with a 7200 mAh typical battery and 7060 mAh rated capacity; realme’s comparison-listed capacity is 7000 mAh. The vivo therefore has 200 mAh more typical capacity, while the realme’s listed 60 W charging is faster on paper than vivo’s 44 W. Capacity and charging wattage do not establish real-world runtime or charging time.
vivo publishes laboratory playback and usage figures for the Y51 Pro: up to 95 hours of music playback, 23.7 hours of video playback, 14.6 hours of navigation and 15.4 hours of MOBA gaming. These are manufacturer figures, not independent results, and vivo says actual battery performance varies with software, environment and usage. They should not be treated as a direct battery-life comparison with the realme.

vivo has the stated protection rating
The vivo Y51 Pro carries an IP68 and IP69 rating on vivo India’s official product page. This is a manufacturer-specified rating, not a promise that the phone is damage-proof. The comparison source does not list a durability rating for the realme 16, which is not evidence that the realme has no protection; check its official specifications for the exact model sold in your market.
Price difference in India
When accessed, 91mobiles displayed ₹36,999 for the realme 16 and ₹32,995 for the vivo Y51 Pro, making the vivo ₹4,004 less in that snapshot. These are volatile comparison-site prices, not guaranteed current or official prices. Check the live listing, seller and offer terms, and compare the same RAM and storage configuration before deciding. Both phones are listed with 128 GB and 256 GB storage options.
