The realme 15T 5G and vivo X300 FE are in very different price and hardware tiers in India. realme’s promotional page advertised the 15T from ₹18,999, while vivo’s 2026 launch announcement priced the X300 FE from INR 79,999 for 12 GB + 256 GB. Those figures come from different price types and dates, so they are not a reliable live price gap. On listed specifications, the X300 FE is the more compact phone with a higher-resolution display, a higher-tier chipset and a dedicated telephoto camera; the realme has the larger screen. Which is better for you depends on the price of the exact variants you can buy and which features matter most.
How do the realme 15T and vivo X300 FE compare?
| Specification | realme 15T 5G | vivo X300 FE |
|---|---|---|
| Processor | Dimensity 6400 Max 5G, 6 nm, octa-core up to 2.5 GHz | Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, 3 nm, octa-core |
| Display | 6.57-inch AMOLED, 1080 × 2372, up to 120 Hz; realme lists up to 4,000-nit peak brightness | 6.31-inch AMOLED, 2640 × 1216, 120 Hz; vivo lists 5,000-nit local peak brightness |
| Rear cameras | 50 MP main and 2 MP black-and-white portrait camera | 50 MP autofocus/OIS main, 50 MP OIS telephoto and 8 MP fixed-focus wide-angle |
| Front camera | 50 MP | 50 MP autofocus |
| Listed India memory options | 8 GB or 12 GB RAM; 128 GB or 256 GB storage | 8 GB + 256 GB, 12 GB + 256 GB and 12 GB + 512 GB announced in India |
| Battery and charging | Numerical capacity and charging figures were not available in the cited specification extract | 6,500 mAh typical (6,350 mAh rated minimum); up to 90 W wired; product page also promotes 40 W wireless charging |
| Software listed | Not established by the cited official extract | Android 16, OriginOS 6 |
Specifications are from the manufacturers’ realme 15T 5G specifications, vivo X300 FE specifications and vivo X300 FE product page. Brightness figures use manufacturer-described peak measures, not a matched independent test, so they should not be read as a direct screen-brightness verdict.
What is the price difference in India?
The available official prices are not like-for-like live checkout quotes. realme India’s Big Diwali Sale 2025 promotional page advertised the 15T 5G “From ₹18,999*”; it does not establish a permanent price or identify that amount as applicable to every RAM and storage variant. vivo’s 2026 launch announcement listed the X300 FE at INR 79,999 for 12 GB + 256 GB and INR 89,999 for 12 GB + 512 GB. A subsequent vivo announcement priced the 8 GB + 256 GB variant at INR 84,999 and said availability would start on 12 August 2026.
Because one figure is a past promotional starting price and the others are launch-announcement prices, subtracting them would give a misleading impression of today’s price gap. For a useful comparison, check both phones on the same day, select the exact storage variant, and distinguish list price from sale, bank-offer or exchange-adjusted pricing. The official announcements are on realme’s Big Diwali Sale 2025 page and vivo’s X300 FE launch announcement.

Which phone has the better display for you?
Choose realme for a larger panel
The realme’s 6.57-inch screen is larger than the X300 FE’s 6.31-inch display, which may suit readers who prefer more screen area for video, reading or general use. Both manufacturers list refresh rates up to 120 Hz.
Choose vivo for a smaller, higher-resolution screen
The X300 FE combines the smaller screen with a substantially higher listed resolution: 2640 × 1216, compared with 1080 × 2372 on the realme. That makes vivo the on-paper choice if compactness and pixel density matter more than having a larger display. Actual image quality also depends on factors that the resolution and refresh-rate figures alone do not capture.

How different are their performance tiers?
On the specification sheets, the X300 FE’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, manufactured on a listed 3 nm process, is positioned above the realme’s Dimensity 6400 Max 5G, listed at 6 nm and up to 2.5 GHz. This describes the hardware difference, not a measured speed advantage: no directly comparable benchmark or independent performance test is established here. Don’t treat chipset names or manufacturing-node figures as a substitute for a test of the apps and games you care about.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsWhich camera setup is more versatile?
The rear-camera configurations differ in purpose, not just megapixel count. realme lists a 50 MP main camera and a 2 MP black-and-white portrait camera. vivo lists three rear cameras: a 50 MP autofocus/OIS main camera, a 50 MP OIS telephoto camera and an 8 MP fixed-focus wide-angle camera. The vivo therefore lists dedicated telephoto and wide-angle options; the realme specification extract does not list comparable lenses.

Both phones list a 50 MP front camera, while vivo specifically lists autofocus for its front camera. These specifications do not establish which phone takes better photos. Image processing, focusing, stabilization in use and performance in different lighting cannot be decided from megapixel counts alone.
Optional telephoto extender for vivo
vivo lists a compatible ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 for the X300 FE, sold separately. The 2026 launch announcement set its price at INR 15,999 inclusive of taxes. It is an optional, model-specific accessory, not part of the phone’s standard camera specification; check compatibility and current availability before buying. Details appear on the X300 FE product page and in vivo’s launch announcement.

What should you check before choosing?
- Compare exact variants and current checkout prices. Storage and RAM differ across the announced vivo options, and the realme promotional starting figure does not establish a current price for every configuration.
- Set your screen priority. The realme offers the larger listed display; vivo offers a smaller screen with higher resolution.
- Decide whether telephoto matters. vivo lists a dedicated telephoto camera and an optional extender; the realme specification extract lists a main and monochrome portrait camera.
- Do not infer battery endurance from capacity alone. vivo publishes battery and charging figures, but comparable realme figures and matched endurance tests are not established in the cited material.
- Check software and protection on the exact listing. The cited vivo specification page lists Android 16, OriginOS 6, IP68 and IP69. The cited realme extract does not establish comparable software or protection details, which is not proof that the phone lacks them.
Which one should you buy?
Choose the realme 15T 5G if the live price of your preferred variant is the deciding factor and you want the larger display. Choose the vivo X300 FE if its current price fits your budget and you value its smaller, higher-resolution screen, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, or listed telephoto camera. Treat the old realme promotional starting price and vivo launch prices as context—not as a current, matched price comparison.
