The realme 13 Pro+ updates the cameras, battery capacity and charging speed, but it does not upgrade the chipset: both it and the realme 12 Pro+ use Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. The 12 Pro+ has a higher-resolution periscope camera on paper, while the 13 Pro+ uses newer-named camera sensors and lists a 200mAh larger typical battery. A dependable current price difference is not established; compare live listings in the same country and with the same storage configuration.
How the realme 12 Pro+ and 13 Pro+ specifications compare
The figures below come from realme product pages for different regions: the 12 Pro+ specifications are from Middle East/Africa, while the 13 Pro+ specifications are from India and Global pages. Check the exact regional model before buying, especially for memory, radio bands, software and included accessories.

Which phone has the better camera hardware?
Main camera
The 12 Pro+ lists a 50MP Sony IMX890 main sensor; the 13 Pro+ lists a 50MP Sony LYT-701. Both are specified as 1/1.56-inch sensors with optical image stabilization. The model names and megapixel counts alone do not establish which produces better photos: that requires comparable image testing under the same conditions.

Periscope zoom camera
The 12 Pro+ lists a 64MP OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto with a 71mm-equivalent focal length. realme’s launch material specifies 3× optical zoom and 6× in-sensor zoom. The 13 Pro+ lists a 50MP Sony LYT-600 periscope telephoto at 73mm equivalent, with 3× optical zoom in its product materials. The 13 Pro+ therefore has a slightly longer listed equivalent focal length, while the 12 Pro+ has more stated megapixels and a manufacturer-stated in-sensor zoom figure. Neither distinction by itself proves better image quality at a given zoom level.
Do not treat a high digital zoom label such as “120X SuperZoom” as equivalent to optical zoom. Digital zoom uses image processing and cropping; the listed optical zoom describes the lens’s optical reach. No independent, matched camera comparison is established here.

Is the 13 Pro+ faster or better for battery life?
Both phones specify the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, so the 13 Pro+ is not a chipset-generation upgrade over the 12 Pro+. The 13 Pro+ does list a 5200mAh typical battery, compared with 5000mAh typical for the 12 Pro+, and 80W charging instead of 67W. Those are manufacturer specifications, not a guarantee of longer real-world runtime or a particular charge time; usage, temperature, charger and other conditions affect results.

Are the displays different?
Both models have a 6.7-inch, 2412×1080 display with a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. The 13 Pro+ India listing identifies its panel as OLED, while the 12 Pro+ regional specification page describes a curved display. The core size, resolution and refresh-rate class are similar, so these specifications do not indicate a major display-class change.

realme lists the 13 Pro+ as IP65-rated and describes it as splash-proof and dust-resistant under normal use, based on controlled laboratory testing against IEC 60529:2013. The company also warns that resistance may diminish through normal wear and tear and that liquid damage is not covered by warranty. IP65 is not a claim that the phone is waterproof or suitable for immersion. See realme’s 13 Pro+ product information.

What is the price difference?
A reliable current, like-for-like price difference cannot be stated from the available official product information. Prices and availability vary by market, and third-party comparison listings can be inconsistent or out of stock. realme says, “Products may have different prices and availability based on market.”
To calculate a useful difference, compare both phones on the same date and in the same country, matching RAM and storage capacity. Check that the listings have stock, then compare the seller, warranty and whether the figure is a launch MRP or a current sale price. The amount saved on a sale listing may not reflect either model’s regular price.
Which one should you choose?
- Choose the 12 Pro+ if its live price is meaningfully lower and you prefer its listed 64MP periscope camera and 6× in-sensor zoom specification. Those specifications do not establish better photos.
- Choose the 13 Pro+ if you want the newer listed main and periscope sensors, its slightly larger typical battery and higher charging rating, or the IP65 rating with the limitations described above.
- Do not upgrade for a faster chipset. Both phones specify Snapdragon 7s Gen 2.
Before choosing, confirm that the local versions offer the memory configuration, connectivity and box contents you need. The 13 Pro+ India box list includes a case, screen-protect film, cable and 80W adapter; contents may differ by market and seller.
