Reach Security announced a Series B funding round of more than $50 million on October 13, 2026. Top Tier Capital Partners led the financing, which also included Ballistic Ventures, In-Q-Tel, M12, Microsoft’s Venture Fund and existing investors. Reach says it will use the money for product innovation, integration partnerships, international expansion and continued growth in U.S. enterprise and federal markets.
What Reach Security does
Reach describes its platform as an AI-native security-controls operating system and exposure-management platform. Instead of treating every vulnerability as equally exposed, it reads the live configuration of the security products an organization already operates and checks whether a specific exploit path is blocked, reachable or only theoretically possible.
The platform links an exposure to the rule, policy or control responsible for the result. That lets a security team distinguish between an issue already covered by an effective control and one that requires action because of a configuration gap, drift, an unused capability or a failed compensating control. Reach co-founder and CTO Colt Blackmore summarizes the product’s premise: “A compensating control that cannot be verified is not a mitigation. It’s an assumption.”

1. Read the deployed control state
Reach ingests configuration and operational information from security tools already deployed in the enterprise. The goal is a current view of what those tools are actually enforcing, rather than an inventory of purchased products or licensed features.

2. Test whether an attack path is reachable
The system evaluates exposures in context, using evidence about the organization’s controls to determine whether an adversary technique can reach a target. Reach’s platform combines MITRE ATT&CK techniques with MITRE D3FEND defensive mappings to connect an attack method to the control implementation intended to stop it.
3. Prioritize the gaps that remain
Security teams can focus on exposures that are not already blocked by effective controls. This is different from a list of theoretical vulnerabilities: the priority is the combination of an asset, an attack path and the control state in the live environment.
4. Verify and remediate changes
Reach can stage a configuration change, verify its effect and route remediation through ServiceNow, Jira or staged automation. That workflow is intended to reduce the risk that a quick policy change creates a new outage or leaves the original exposure unresolved.

Reach Everywhere and the broader platform
Reach Everywhere extends validated control data beyond the core interface. It exposes the findings through an API, an MCP server and a technology-partner ecosystem so that exposure-management, security-operations, incident-response, compliance and AI-security workflows can use the same evidence about control effectiveness.
The current product site lists integrations with CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Proofpoint, Okta, Jira, ServiceNow, Abnormal Security, Palo Alto Networks, Ping Identity, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Defender for O365, Netskope, Zscaler, Fortinet and Cisco. Integration availability and behavior can vary by product edition and deployment, so buyers should confirm the required connectors during evaluation.
What the Series B will fund
Reach says the new capital is earmarked for four priorities:
Rank #3
- Product innovation across its control-validation and exposure-management capabilities.
- Additional integration partnerships, extending the evidence available to other security workflows.
- International expansion.
- Continued growth in U.S. enterprise and federal markets.
Top Tier Capital Partners General Partner and CEO Garth Timoll said Reach is building a trusted source of truth for security controls that can support AI-driven security workflows at scale. Reach CEO and co-founder Garrett Hamilton framed the need more broadly: “Defending at enterprise scale requires an accurate understanding of what your defenses are actually doing. You can’t afford to get that wrong.”
Customers and reported traction
Reach named Autodesk, Insurity, MPS and Ensemble Health Partners as customers. The company says its customer base doubled during the 12 months before the Series B announcement. Autodesk Chief Trust Officer Sebastian Goodwin described Reach as the company’s source of truth, saying the team can spend time on exposures its controls are not already covering.
Reach also cites a return-on-investment analysis by TAG Infosphere. As reported by Reach, that analysis found more than 160 hours saved per week and a 156% return. These are vendor-reported or vendor-commissioned results, not an independently published customer-performance dataset, and they should not be treated as a guarantee for another organization.

How Reach differs from adjacent security categories
| Evaluation question | Reach’s security-control focus | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Are deployed controls validated in context? | Yes; the platform evaluates live configuration and attack-path reachability. | It can separate a theoretically vulnerable asset from one that is actually reachable. |
| Does it detect configuration drift? | Yes. ConfigIQ Drift supports baselines or “gold images” across SaaS and on-premises security products. | Teams can identify when a previously verified control no longer matches its approved state. |
| Can it expose underused capabilities? | Yes. Reach categorizes capabilities as “Not in Use,” “In Use” or “Optimized.” | Organizations may improve coverage by activating tools they already own rather than adding another platform. |
| Does it replace every security tool? | No. It is designed to read and coordinate existing controls. | The deployment model is centered on integration and verification, not wholesale stack replacement. |
| How are fixes handled? | Through verification, ServiceNow, Jira or staged automation. | Remediation can be tied to an accountable workflow and checked after the change. |
Product development before the Series B
2024: initial funding and control utilization
In March 2024, Reach announced a $20 million funding round led by Ballistic Ventures. The company positioned its software as a way to get more value from cybersecurity products an organization already owns. In that announcement, Garrett Hamilton said the average security team used less than 20% of available security capabilities; that figure is a company claim, not an independently validated industry statistic.
2025: strategic investment and drift management
In July 2025, M12, Microsoft’s Venture Fund and existing investors announced a $10 million strategic investment in Reach. The same announcement introduced ConfigIQ Drift, which lets teams define configuration baselines and detect deviations across SaaS and on-premises security products from one centralized location.

A February 2025 product update introduced Capabilities View, which labels controls “Not in Use,” “In Use” or “Optimized,” along with Threat Evidence Analytics and User Impact Metrics. An April 2025 platform update described the MITRE ATT&CK and MITRE D3FEND mapping used to connect adversary techniques with implemented defenses.

Speed claims and buying considerations
Reach’s product site claims that its platform can detect misconfigurations in less than five minutes, investigate them in less than 30 minutes and remediate them in less than three hours. Those are company-site operating claims, not independently verified benchmarks. Actual results depend on the number and type of integrations, data quality, approval procedures and the complexity of the environment.
Organizations evaluating the platform should confirm connector coverage, baseline-management requirements, permissions, change-approval controls, audit evidence, API and MCP access, deployment responsibilities and pricing. The public product materials do not state a standard price or a self-service signup plan.

Reach Security’s Series B gives the company capital to expand a control-validation approach that measures whether enterprise defenses work in their live configuration. Its differentiator is not another vulnerability list, but evidence tying reachable exposure to the specific control, drift or remediation action involved.
