The Razer Naga V2 Pro is a right-handed wireless MMO mouse built around three interchangeable side plates: 2, 6, or 12 thumb buttons. That flexibility is its clearest advantage: choose the 12-button plate for dense MMO shortcuts, or swap to a simpler layout for games that need fewer thumb controls. It also offers 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth LE, and wired connections. Its main trade-offs are that the plates are model-specific and wireless charging requires a separately sold accessory.
What is the Razer Naga V2 Pro?
Razer announced the Naga V2 Pro on November 10, 2022, positioning it as a wireless mouse for MMO players. Its defining feature is a set of three interchangeable side plates with 2, 6, or 12 buttons. The plates let you change the number of thumb-accessible commands without changing mice.
Razer lists 19 programmable buttons and up to 22 programmable controls. The distinction matters: the product’s control count depends on how programmable inputs are counted, so these figures should not be treated as interchangeable descriptions of physical buttons.
Do the interchangeable side plates suit your games?
12-button plate: maximum thumb-accessible commands
The 12-button plate is the natural choice for an MMO player who wants many commands available under the thumb. It can reduce reliance on reaching for keyboard shortcuts, but it also puts a dense button grid in a small area. If you do not use that many commands, the grid may add complexity rather than convenience.

- RAZER HYPERSCROLL PRO WHEEL — With adjustable tactility, resistance, and steps, create firmer, more distinct scrolls for precise weapon switching, or softer, smoother scrolls with multiple steps to easily spam inputs like jump

6-button plate: a middle ground
The 6-button plate offers a smaller set of thumb controls. It may be a better fit if you want several shortcuts but find a full 12-button grid too crowded.
2-button plate: a simpler layout
The 2-button plate is the least crowded option and may suit games where a large MMO-style grid is unnecessary. Reviewers at RTINGS describe the mouse as having a right-handed shape and modular side panels, including this two-button option.

How does charging work?
The mouse charges through its cable. Razer also says it supports wireless charging when used with the Wireless Charging Puck or Mouse Dock Pro, both sold separately. That can be useful if you already prefer a charging dock or puck, but it adds an accessory purchase rather than providing wireless charging in the box.
Should you choose the Naga V2 Pro?
- Consider it if: you play MMOs, want to change thumb-button density between games, or value having Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz wireless, and wired options in one mouse.
- Think carefully if: you do not need multiple side-button layouts, prefer a very simple side surface, or want wireless charging without buying another accessory.
- Check fit before buying: the Naga V2 Pro is a right-handed design. The available evidence does not establish a fit assessment for every hand size or grip style, so try the shape if ergonomics are a deciding factor.
Razer’s current Naga lineup lists the Naga V2 Pro alongside other Naga products. Be careful not to confuse it with the Naga V2 HyperSpeed or the Naga V3 Pro.
