Will it work with your iPhone or Android phone?
Supported software versions
Razer Support lists Android 14 or later and iOS 18 as the supported mobile operating-system baselines. A compatible phone must also have a USB-C port. Examples listed by Razer include Samsung Galaxy S24-series phones, Google Pixel 6, 7 and 8 phones, and iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 models.

Cases and physical fit
Case compatibility is not universal. A thick, rugged or camera-protective case can prevent the controller’s USB-C connector or grips from seating correctly even when the phone model itself is supported. Check the fit for your exact phone-and-case combination, and remove the case if the connector cannot fully engage. Do not force the plug or the phone into the grips.
Windows 11 support
Razer also lists Windows 11 operation over USB-C. For wired PC play, you need a compatible USB-C cable, which Razer says is sold separately. The controller’s secondary USB-C port handles PC connection and pass-through charging, while Razer’s support documentation also identifies the 3.5 mm port for audio and microphone use.

How to set up the Kishi V3
- Check the prerequisites. Confirm that your phone uses USB-C, runs Android 14 or later or iOS 18, and is not blocked by an incompatible case.
- Prepare the controller. Open the grips and make sure the controller’s USB-C connector is unobstructed.
- Connect the phone. Seat the phone evenly in the grips and align the USB-C port with the controller connector. The phone should sit securely without pressure on the port.
- Launch a supported game or service. Test the controls in a game that supports a physical controller. If inputs are not recognized, close and reopen the game after connecting the Kishi.
- Add power or headphones when needed. Connect a charger to the pass-through USB-C port during long sessions, or plug a headset into the 3.5 mm jack.
For a Windows 11 setup, connect the controller with a compatible USB-C cable rather than assuming the phone connector cable will serve every PC configuration. Because the cable is sold separately, include that accessory in the total cost if PC play is part of your plan.
Cloud gaming and remote play
Razer says the Kishi V3 works with mobile games and major streaming or remote-play services, including Xbox Cloud Gaming, NVIDIA GeForce Now, Steam Link and Razer PC Remote Play. The controller can therefore serve several roles:

Streaming quality still depends on the phone, network connection and service. The wired controller can remove Bluetooth pairing and controller-radio variables, but it cannot fix network delay, video-streaming latency or an unsupported game.
Is $69.99 a good buy?
Reasons the deal is attractive

- You want wired PC play but do not want to buy a separate compatible USB-C cable.
- Your main games or streaming service do not support physical-controller input.
Razer’s page quotes Windows Central describing the Kishi V3 line as “the ultimate mobile gaming experience for every device, no matter how big.” That is an editorial endorsement rather than a guarantee that every handset, case or game will work, so the compatibility checks above matter more than the slogan.
