The Razer HyperFlux V2 makes the most sense if you already own a supported Razer mouse and want it to charge while you play. It pairs a powered mat with a dedicated puck and can also act as a receiver for supported Razer devices. At the Razer US store, both surface versions were listed for $119.99 when checked on October 7, 2026. That price buys a specific convenience, not broad mouse compatibility or an all-purpose charging mat.
What the HyperFlux V2 does
Launched on June 3, 2025, the HyperFlux V2 is a powered mouse mat that works with a dedicated puck installed in a compatible mouse. Razer says the mouse charges while it is on the mat and that the system auto-pairs. The mat can also provide receiver connectivity for supported mice and selected keyboards; keyboard support is for connectivity, not charging. Razer describes battery-indicator and charging-limit controls through Synapse. See Razer’s launch announcement for the manufacturer’s feature details.
The idea is to avoid taking the mouse off the desk to charge it. In return, you commit to a particular mat, its cable, and a short list of compatible mice.

Which mice work with it?
Razer’s support compatibility page lists these models:
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Basilisk V3 Pro 35K
- Basilisk V3 Pro
- Cobra Pro
- Cobra HyperSpeed
- Naga V2 Pro
Check the exact model against Razer’s compatibility page before buying, since compatibility is model-specific and support information may change. The system requires the dedicated puck included with the HyperFlux V2. Razer’s UK product FAQ says the Mouse Dock Pro puck does not work with it because the charging technologies differ.
Razer also names selected BlackWidow and DeathStalker keyboards for receiver connectivity. That feature does not charge keyboards, and it does not mean that every Razer keyboard or mouse is supported.

Hard or cloth: which surface should you choose?
Razer positions the hard edition for smoother, quicker glides and the cloth edition for more controlled swipes. Those are the manufacturer’s descriptions; the available reviews do not provide comparative measurements of the two surfaces. Razer also describes a grooved rubber base and an LED charging indicator.
Choose based on the surface feel you prefer, not on an assumption that one version charges better. PC Gamer reviewed the hard edition and said it had a good surface feel, but its reviewer did not test the cloth version. The cloth edition therefore does not have the same firsthand review evidence in that article.

What reviewers liked—and what they criticized
Integrated charging and receiver
PC Gamer’s October 28, 2025 review praised the hard edition’s integrated receiver and surface feel. Tom’s Hardware’s August 22, 2026 review said the system worked as intended with compatible wireless Razer mice, while describing it as otherwise unremarkable. These are review observations, not independent tests conducted for this article. Read the PC Gamer review and Tom’s Hardware review for their full assessments.
Polling, cable, and desk fit
Tom’s Hardware reports a 1,000 Hz polling limit and criticizes the non-detachable cable. Treat the polling figure as that publication’s finding, not an independently verified measurement here. PC Gamer also notes that cable routing may be awkward on some desks.

- Please Note: To reach 10Gbps speed, keep the cable under 3.3 ft. For USB A Male to USB C adapters, try flipping the USB C connector. USB C Male to USB A adapters support bidirectional 10Gbps transfer within 3.3 ft
Price and replaceability
PC Gamer considers the roughly $120 cost high for the convenience of avoiding manual charging. Its review also notes that the surface is not replaceable. If you want to change or replace the playing surface later, that limitation matters as much as the initial feel.
How much does it cost?
Razer’s US product pages listed both editions at US$119.99 when checked on October 7, 2026. This is the listed price on those pages at that time, not a guaranteed price or a marketplace listing.
