There is no established universal winner between the Razer Basilisk V4 Pro and Logitech G502 X Plus. Choose by the control layout and scroll-wheel behavior you prefer, how each shape fits your hand, and the price of the standalone mouse when you buy. Razer emphasizes its HyperScroll Tilt Wheel Gen-2, configurable controls and 50K sensor; Logitech highlights LIGHTFORCE hybrid switches, LIGHTSPEED wireless and LIGHTSYNC RGB. Available manufacturer information does not provide a controlled head-to-head test of comfort, performance or battery life.

Quick comparison

What to compare Razer Basilisk V4 Pro Logitech G502 X Plus
Highlighted features HyperScroll Tilt Wheel Gen-2, customizable controls, Focus Pro 50K Optical Sensor Gen-3, HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2 and RGB, according to Razer’s October 8, 2026 announcement. LIGHTFORCE hybrid switches, LIGHTSPEED wireless, LIGHTSYNC RGB and a HERO sensor, according to Logitech’s product page.
Battery-life claim Up to 200 hours on Razer’s US product page; the cited material does not specify matching lighting conditions for a direct comparison. Up to 130 hours with RGB off, or 37 hours with RGB always on, as stated in Logitech’s product-page result.
US price shown in cited material US$169.99 on Razer’s US product page; price and stock can change. Logitech’s US page showed a US$159.99 list price and a US$127.99 promotion whose offer date had expired. Treat neither the promotion nor current availability as confirmed.
Sensor specification Focus Pro 50K sensor identified in Razer’s product materials. Logitech US listings conflict: product number 910-006160 identifies HERO 25K, while 910-007808 identifies HERO 44K. Check the exact listing and current specification before relying on a sensor-generation claim.
What the cited information cannot settle Which shape feels better in your hand, which performs better in games, and whether either is more durable. The cited material contains no independent hands-on comparison.

Which mouse is the better fit for you?

Choose by hand fit and grip

Fit is personal, and the available manufacturer material does not establish that one mouse is more comfortable. If possible, try the shape before buying. Consider how your fingers reach the side controls and wheel, whether the mouse supports your usual grip, and whether its size feels manageable during long sessions. Do not treat a brand’s ergonomic positioning as proof that it will fit your hand better.

Choose by wheel and control preferences

Razer specifically promotes the Basilisk V4 Pro’s HyperScroll Tilt Wheel Gen-2 and customizable controls. Logitech’s G502 X Plus material emphasizes customizable controls and its LIGHTFORCE hybrid switches. Compare the exact control layout shown for the product listing you plan to purchase; the available Razer announcement gives inconsistent counts in different passages, so a button-count comparison is not reliable here.

The wheel and controls matter most if you use extra inputs for game actions, shortcuts or other tasks. A feature list cannot tell you whether a particular layout feels natural, so check the physical layout or try the mouse if that decision is important.

Choose by the features you will use

The Basilisk V4 Pro’s cited specifications include HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2 and RGB, alongside its sensor and wheel. Logitech highlights LIGHTSPEED wireless, LIGHTSYNC RGB and LIGHTFORCE switches. These are manufacturer feature descriptions, not evidence that one mouse has lower latency, better lighting or more responsive switches in practice.

Battery life: compare the claims carefully

Razer lists up to 200 hours for the Basilisk V4 Pro on its US product page. Logitech states up to 130 hours for the G502 X Plus with RGB off and up to 37 hours with RGB always on. Those figures come from the manufacturers, and the stated RGB conditions are not equivalent. They are not results from a controlled head-to-head test, so they do not establish how long either mouse will last under your settings.

Sensor specifications do not establish a performance winner

Razer identifies a Focus Pro 50K sensor in its product materials. Logitech’s US product pages disagree about the G502 X Plus sensor: listing 910-006160 says HERO 25K, while listing 910-007808 says HERO 44K. Because the listings conflict, confirm the specification for the precise Logitech product number and region you are considering.

Razer Mouse Dock V2 Pro with Wireless Charging Puck, Chroma RGB
  • MAGNETIC WIRELESS CHARGING – Recharge effortlessly between gaming sessions with a secure magnetic dock and wireless charging puck that keeps compatible Razer gaming mice powered and ready for continuous play
  • TRUE 8000 HZ WIRELESS PERFORMANCE – Unlock ultra-low-latency Razer HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2 connectivity with the integrated 8K Hz transceiver for maximum responsiveness in competitive FPS, MOBA, and esports gaming
  • 8-ZONE CHROMA RGB UNDERGLOW – Customize eight lighting zones with 16.8 million colors and dynamic effects that sync with over 300 Chroma-integrated games for a more immersive gaming experience
  • MULTI-DEVICE CONNECTIVITY – Keep your setup clean by pairing compatible Razer mice and keyboards through a single integrated transceiver, reducing cable clutter while maintaining reliable wireless performance
  • CHARGE STATUS AT A GLANCE – Easily monitor battery levels through color-coded lighting indicators that show low, medium, and full charge status without opening software or interrupting gameplay

A higher stated maximum DPI alone would not prove that a mouse is more accurate or better for your games. The available official material does not include independent tracking tests or a direct performance comparison.

Software and lighting ecosystems

Logitech identifies G HUB customization for the G502 X Plus, and its product page calls out LIGHTSYNC RGB. Razer’s announcement describes customizable controls and Chroma lighting for the Basilisk V4 Pro. The cited information does not assess software usability or establish that either customization system is better. If you already use one ecosystem, check that the mouse’s supported features suit the way you configure peripherals.

Verdict: which gaming mouse should you buy?

Buy the Razer Basilisk V4 Pro if its HyperScroll Tilt Wheel Gen-2, configurable controls and stated 50K sensor match the features you want, and its current price and fit work for you. Buy the Logitech G502 X Plus if you prefer its LIGHTFORCE switches, LIGHTSPEED wireless and LIGHTSYNC RGB, after verifying the exact product listing and current sensor specification. If you are undecided, prioritize trying the shape and checking the control layout: the available manufacturer claims do not prove that either mouse is the better overall performer.
