Ray-Ban Meta Audio is an audio-only version of Ray-Ban’s AI glasses: it has no camera, but retains hands-free calling, personal listening and Meta AI. Despite the “out now” framing, Ray-Ban’s US pages showed the glasses as available to preorder on October 13, 2026—not generally available for purchase. The official product pages do not establish that consumers broadly hated the camera, so the practical question is whether you want hands-free photo and video capture or would rather have glasses built around audio and voice features.
What is Ray-Ban Meta Audio?
Ray-Ban describes Meta Audio as its “first audio-only AI glasses.” The defining change is the absence of a camera; the product remains an audio and AI wearable rather than a conventional pair of glasses. Ray-Ban says it is designed for hands-free calling, personal listening and Meta AI.
The product family includes the Burbank RW7005 and Clubmaster RW7004. The Burbank listing reviewed is a square frame in size 54-19. Frame shape, sizing, lens choice and prescription needs matter when comparing listings, so check the specific model and lens configuration rather than assuming every version has the same price or fit.

Does Ray-Ban Meta Audio have a camera?
No. Ray-Ban’s product-family page explicitly says image and video capture are not available on Ray-Ban Audio. That makes it a poor fit if your main reason for buying smart glasses is to take hands-free photos or videos. Its appeal is instead having audio, calls and Meta AI in glasses without a camera.

The phrase “the one thing people hated” should be read as headline characterization, not a documented finding about consumer opinion. Ray-Ban’s product pages explain the camera omission, but do not establish that buyers broadly disliked the camera on other models.

What are the Burbank RW7005 specs and battery claims?
For the listed Burbank RW7005, Ray-Ban specifies two open-ear speakers, a six-microphone array, Bluetooth 5.3, and touch and voice controls. The product listing also describes Meta AI and a rechargeable battery.
Ray-Ban rates the Burbank for up to 12 hours on a charge, with up to an additional 48 hours from a fully charged case. These are manufacturer claims, not independent test results or guaranteed runtimes. Ray-Ban says actual battery life varies with use, configuration, settings, temperature, location, connectivity and other factors. If you rely on the glasses for long stretches, treat the figures as maximum ratings rather than a promise of typical performance.

What do you need to use Ray-Ban Meta Audio?
The Burbank product listing says use requires a Meta account, the Meta AI app, a compatible phone and wireless internet. Its minimum phone operating systems are iOS 17 and Android 10. Ray-Ban also cautions that voice commands and some Meta AI features are available only in selected countries and languages. Check regional and language support before buying if voice control or AI features are central to your use.

The pages establish preorder status on that date, not that general availability had begun. Check Ray-Ban’s current listing for updated price, stock and shipping timing before ordering.
