Godlike.Host offers modded Minecraft server hosting with one-click modpacks, a built-in mod installer and up to three free backups a day.
Raspberry Flavoured 3.3.1 is a Forge modpack for Minecraft Java Edition 1.19.2. The matching server uses Forge 43.5.1 and the dedicated server pack, not a copied client installation. You can run it with the supplied shell or batch scripts, upload the pack to a managed Forge host, deploy the Modrinth server pack, or use Docker if you are comfortable troubleshooting containers.
This guide covers the compatibility checks, exact setup sequence, update workflow, Java requirements, host decisions and recovery steps that prevent the most common failed launches.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:

Raspberry Flavoured is built around exploration and farming rather than vanilla survival alone. The current release identified for this guide is version 3.3.1, targeting Minecraft 1.19.2 with Forge. Modpacks.ch lists Forge 43.5.1 and 253 mods in the selected pack file. That count describes the contents of that file; it is not a memory recommendation or a guaranteed player-capacity figure.
CurseForge’s project listing recorded 509,845 downloads in a 2025/2026 capture, which indicates substantial use but does not change the installation requirements. Every player must use the same pack release, Minecraft version and Forge loader as the server. A Bedrock-only installation cannot join this Forge Java server.

Compatibility at a glance
| Component | Required value | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Pack | Raspberry Flavoured 3.3.1 | The client and server files must describe the same release. |
| Minecraft | 1.19.2 | Other Minecraft versions can fail during Forge or mod loading. |
| Mod loader | Forge | The pack is not a Fabric or vanilla server. |
| Forge build | 43.5.1 | This is the build listed for the selected pack file. |
| Server files | Dedicated server pack | A normal client folder contains files and settings that are not a substitute for server files. |
| Mod count | 253 in the selected file | A file inventory only; it does not establish RAM or player limits. |
Choose a deployment route
Use the route that matches the control you have over the machine. The pack’s documented methods differ mainly in who owns updates, Java configuration and file permissions.
| Route | Best fit | Advantages | Trade-offs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Console scripts on your own machine | An operator with shell or local terminal access | Clear update process, direct logs and complete control over files and Java | You maintain the operating system, backups, firewall and uptime. |
| Managed Forge host with FTP/SFTP | Someone who wants the provider to run the machine | No local server maintenance; files can be uploaded remotely | Java versions, permissions, restart behavior and support vary by host. |
| Modrinth server | A host or panel that accepts an mrpack |
Uses the project’s Modrinth server distribution and supports Packwiz updates | The panel must actually provide Forge 1.19.2 and permit the required files. |
| Docker | An administrator already operating containers | Repeatable deployment, isolated files and easy recreation | The project documentation says Docker had not been tested; troubleshooting is your responsibility. |
| One-click catalogue | A user who values convenience over control | Potentially faster initial installation | Verify the exact 3.3.1 pack, Minecraft and Forge versions, region, pricing, backups and support before paying. |
FadeHost, WinterNode and DedicatedMinecraft.host have advertised Raspberry Flavoured installation. Those listings are not proof that a particular plan currently supports version 3.3.1, so ask the provider to confirm the exact server pack and Java runtime in writing.

Client-side checks
- Use Minecraft Java Edition for PC, not a Bedrock-only installation.
- Install the Raspberry Flavoured 3.3.1 client profile through the launcher or pack distribution you use.
- Confirm that the profile reports Minecraft 1.19.2 and Forge before connecting.
- Do not mix files from another release into the profile. A single changed mod or configuration can produce a registry, dependency or handshake error.
Server-side checks
- Reserve a new directory dedicated to this server. Keep it separate from the ordinary Minecraft folder and from other worlds.
- Ensure the account running the server can read, write and execute the files in that directory.
- Install a supported Java runtime before the first launch. Minecraft 1.18 and newer require Java 17; the project guide noted Java 21 as the latest release at the time it was written.
- Do not use Java 25 or newer for this pack unless the project later documents support. The guide warns that Java 25 or higher can crash the server.
- Plan a backup location outside the live server directory so deleting or replacing the installation does not delete every backup.
Install with the official server scripts
The script route is the most transparent option because the supplied update and launch commands remain visible on the machine. Download and extract the Raspberry Flavoured dedicated server pack into the new server directory; do not upload or copy your client profile as a replacement.
Linux or macOS
- Create and enter a directory reserved for the server, separate from your Minecraft installation.
- Download the Raspberry Flavoured 3.3.1 server pack and extract its contents directly into that directory. Preserve the directory structure supplied by the pack.
- From a terminal in that directory, run
./update.sh. This retrieves or refreshes the pack’s managed files. - When the update script finishes without an error, start the server with
./run.sh. - Read the console output for the first startup. Keep the terminal attached until the server has completed its initial setup, then stop it using the server’s normal stop command rather than killing the process.
If the shell reports that a script is not executable, grant execute permission to the supplied scripts and run the command again. If the script exits immediately, check that you are in the directory containing update.sh and run.sh, that Java is on the path, and that the account can write to the directory.

Windows
- Create a separate folder for the server and extract the dedicated server pack there.
- Open that folder in File Explorer or a Command Prompt. Running the batch file from another directory can cause relative paths to resolve incorrectly.
- Run
update.batand wait for it to finish. - Run
run.batto start the server. Keep the console open while it initializes and record any Java or mod-loader error. - Stop the server cleanly before closing the window, then make a backup of the generated configuration and world data.
The first launch may create configuration files and a world directory. Treat those generated files as part of the live installation; do not replace them with a client folder.
Update an installation without breaking the world
For a script-managed installation, the documented update method is deliberately simple: stop the server, run the same update script again, wait for it to complete, and then start with the normal launch script. On Linux or macOS use ./update.sh followed by ./run.sh; on Windows use update.bat followed by run.bat.
- Announce maintenance to players and stop the server cleanly.
- Copy the world and server directory to a separate backup location.
- Run the platform’s update script from the server directory.
- Review the script output for download, permission or dependency errors instead of assuming a closed window means success.
- Start the server and watch the complete startup log before allowing players to join.
- Have every client update to the same pack release before reconnecting.
Do not update while the server is still writing world data. If a new pack release changes mods or configuration, an old client may disconnect even though the server itself starts normally.
Set up on a managed host with FTP or SFTP
A managed host removes operating-system maintenance but introduces panel-specific behavior. The documented sequence assumes that the provider can create a Forge 1.19.2 server and gives you FTP or SFTP access.

- Create a new Forge 1.19.2 server in the host panel. Do not choose a vanilla, Fabric or different Minecraft-version template.
- Stop the newly created server before uploading files.
- Download the Raspberry Flavoured dedicated server pack and upload its contents through FTP or SFTP. Keep the pack’s folder structure intact.
- Start the server once so the panel creates its base files, then open the host’s console or terminal feature.
- Run
packwiz updateand wait for the command to finish. Do not restart or disconnect while it is changing the pack files. - Stop the server after Packwiz completes.
- Delete the
worldfolder that was generated by the host’s vanilla startup. This prevents a vanilla-generated world directory from being mistaken for the pack’s intended server state. - Launch the server again and inspect the log for Forge and mod initialization. Keep a backup before allowing players to create important progress.
Host panels sometimes run commands as a different user from the FTP account. If packwiz update cannot write files, ask support to correct ownership and permissions rather than repeatedly uploading partial files. Also confirm which Java executable the panel uses; a local Java setting cannot override a host-controlled runtime.
Use the Modrinth server pack
The project provides a Modrinth mrpack server distribution because its mods are sourced through Modrinth. This is useful when a hosting panel has a specific Modrinth server workflow.

- For later maintenance, stop the server, run

If the panel only accepts a generic mod zip, do not rename the file and hope it will be recognized. Ask whether the panel supports the mrpack format or use the script-based server pack instead.
Run Raspberry Flavoured in Docker
The documented container example uses the itzg/minecraft-server image with Forge, Minecraft 1.19.2, an accepted EULA and the Raspberry server pack’s Packwiz URL. The project author also states that Raspberry Flavoured had not been tested in Docker and that support may be limited. Docker is therefore appropriate for an operator who can inspect container logs, volumes, permissions and image behavior; it is not the safest first choice for someone seeking a one-click setup.

environment:
TYPE: FORGE

PACKWIZ_URL: '${RASPBERRY_PACKWIZ_URL}'
volumes:
- ./data:/data
The important values are TYPE=FORGE, EULA=TRUE, VERSION=1.19.2 and the pack’s own Packwiz URL. Do not substitute a URL for a client pack or for another Raspberry Flavoured release. Keep the ./data volume on persistent storage; deleting an ephemeral container must not delete the world.
Container troubleshooting
- Container exits during startup: inspect the logs for Java, EULA, URL or Forge errors before recreating it.
- Files disappear after recreation: verify that the host directory is mounted to
/dataand that the container user can write there. - Packwiz cannot download files: test outbound network access and confirm that the Packwiz URL is the official server-pack URL.
- Clients cannot connect: publish the host port, check the firewall and confirm that clients use Minecraft 1.19.2, Forge and Raspberry Flavoured 3.3.1.
- Updates are unclear: stop the container, back up the mounted data directory, run the documented Packwiz update workflow inside the container or through the image’s supported mechanism, and review logs before restarting.
Java versions and common launch failures
Java 17, Java 21 and Java 25
The project’s Java guidance is version-sensitive. Minecraft 1.18 and newer require Java 17, and the guide identified Java 21 as the latest release at the time it was written. It warns that Java 25 or higher is unsupported and may crash. Because Java releases change, check the project’s current instructions before changing a working server.
When several Java versions are installed, the server may use a different one from the version shown in your terminal. Check the runtime selected by the host panel, service manager, shell or container. If the guide tells you to update JAVA_HOME, change it to the supported Java installation and open a new terminal or restart the service so the setting is inherited.

Symptoms and fixes
| Symptom | Likely cause | Action |
|---|---|---|
| “Unsupported class version” or immediate Java crash | Wrong Java major version | Use Java 17 or the project-supported newer release; avoid Java 25 or higher. |
| Missing script or file-not-found message | Pack extracted into an extra nested folder, or command run from the wrong directory | Open the directory that actually contains update.sh/run.sh or the Windows batch files and preserve the supplied structure. |
| Permission denied | The service account cannot execute scripts or write pack files | Correct ownership and permissions, then rerun the update; do not mix accounts between FTP and the server process. |
| Forge or mod dependency error | Client/server release mismatch or incomplete upload | Replace the installation with the matching 3.3.1 dedicated server pack and ensure clients use the same release. |
| Vanilla world appears on a managed host | The panel generated a world before the pack was installed | Stop the server, remove the generated world folder as documented, then launch the uploaded pack again. |
| Docker container repeatedly restarts | Invalid environment value, inaccessible Packwiz URL, EULA not accepted or non-persistent storage | Read the first failure in the container log, correct the environment or mount, and recreate only after backing up persistent data. |
Backups, worlds and safe maintenance
The pack documentation does not establish a required RAM amount or a supported player count, so choose hardware and a hosting plan based on your own world size, view distance, mod activity and measured tick performance rather than the 253-mod count alone. A small dedicated PC or SSD can be useful for an always-on server, but no specific hardware is required by the evidence available here.
- Back up the world while the server is stopped or after using a backup method that guarantees a consistent snapshot.
- Store at least one copy outside the server machine or container volume.
- Record the pack release, Minecraft version, Forge build, Java version and date with each backup.
- Test restoring a copy before an emergency; a backup that has never been restored is only an assumption.
- Keep update logs so you can identify which pack or Java change preceded a failure.
How to evaluate a one-click host
A one-click installer is convenient only if it installs the exact software you need. Before ordering, ask these questions:
- Does the installer provide Raspberry Flavoured 3.3.1, Minecraft 1.19.2 and Forge 43.5.1, or an older release?
- Can you upload the dedicated server pack through FTP/SFTP if the catalogue entry is missing?
- Which Java major version runs the server, and can you select Java 17 or 21?
- Can you run
packwiz updateand inspect complete Forge logs? - Are automated backups included, how long are they retained, and can you download one?
- Where is the server physically located, and does that geography suit your players?
- What happens to your world and files if you cancel?
- Is support for this specific pack release current, or is “Raspberry Flavoured” only a generic marketing label?
Do not infer performance, RAM allocation or player capacity from a provider’s generic modpack listing. Those figures depend on the actual plan and workload and are not established by the pack’s file count.
Quick Recap
Final pre-launch checklist
- Every client is on Raspberry Flavoured 3.3.1.
- The server is Minecraft 1.19.2 with Forge 43.5.1.
- The dedicated server pack, not a client directory, is installed.
- The selected Java runtime is supported and is the runtime actually used by the process.
- The update command completed without errors.
- The server starts to a completed Forge/mod initialization.
- The world is stored on persistent, backed-up storage.
- Firewall or host networking allows the Minecraft connection.
- A clean stop and a restore test have been performed before inviting players.
