Desinfec’t eignet sich dazu, eine Windows-Installation von einem separaten Live-System aus auf Schadsoftware zu untersuchen und bei Bedarf auf Dateien zuzugreifen. Es ist aber kein belegter sicherer Ort, um eine unbekannte Ransomware-Probe auszuführen. Bei einem laufenden Vorfall sind Eindämmung und Beweissicherung wichtiger als ein sofortiger Scan: Ein Bereinigungslauf ersetzt weder Forensik noch eine abgestimmte Reaktion.
Was Desinfec’t bei einer Ransomware-Untersuchung tut
Desinfec’t startet ein eigenes Linux-Live-System von einem bootfähigen Medium, statt das möglicherweise betroffene Windows zu laden. Von dort aus lässt sich die inaktive Windows-Installation untersuchen; c’t beschreibt außerdem den Zugriff auf Dateien. Weil das verdächtige Windows während des Scans nicht normal läuft, ist dieser Ansatz für eine Offline-Diagnose nützlich. c’t: So funktioniert die Desinfec’t-Notfall-CD
Ein Scan ist jedoch keine Garantie, dass der Rechner anschließend sauber ist. Scanner können neue Schadsoftware übersehen, und ein Live-System kann nicht zwangsläufig alle von Schadcode veränderten Systemeinstellungen reparieren. Ein einzelner untersuchter Rechner sagt außerdem nicht, ob weitere Geräte im Heim- oder Unternehmensnetz betroffen sind.

Die Beschreibung der Desinfec’t-Ausgabe 2025 erwähnt ausgewählte Profiwerkzeuge für Malware-Analysen. Daraus folgt nicht, dass Desinfec’t eine sichere Sandbox bereitstellt, in der sich eine unbekannte Ransomware-Probe gefahrlos ausführen lässt. Öffnen oder starten Sie eine verdächtige Probe daher nicht auf einem produktiven oder persönlichen Computer. Dynamische Malware-Analyse erfordert eine kontrollierte, isolierte Umgebung und entsprechendes Fachwissen; ein Live-Scan allein stellt diese Bedingungen nicht her.
Was zuerst zu tun ist, wenn Verschlüsselung läuft
Wenn Dateien gerade verschlüsselt werden oder sich der Vorfall ausbreitet, beginnen Sie nicht mit einem unüberlegten Neustart des betroffenen Windows. CISA empfiehlt, betroffene Systeme sofort zu isolieren. Wenn eine Netztrennung nicht gelingt, kann das Abschalten die Ausbreitung begrenzen, aber dabei können flüchtige Daten verloren gehen. In einem Unternehmensvorfall sollte diese Abwägung Teil des abgestimmten Incident-Response-Prozesses sein; qualifizierte Hilfe kann nötig sein. Offline-Scan und Beweissicherung sind verschiedene Aufgaben
Ein Scanner sucht nach verdächtigen oder bekannten schädlichen Dateien. Eine forensische Sicherung muss darüber hinaus die relevanten Spuren bewahren. CISA nennt unter anderem Systemabbilder, Speicherabbilder, relevante Protokolle, Malware-Proben und Indikatoren. Besonders flüchtige Daten können verloren gehen, wenn ein Rechner ausgeschaltet wird. Bei einem einzelnen privaten Gerät kann ein Offline-Scan ein hilfreicher Diagnoseschritt sein. Bei Organisationen reicht die Prüfung eines Rechners nicht aus: Die Reaktion muss feststellen, welche Systeme betroffen sind, und die Beweissicherung sowie Wiederherstellung koordinieren.

Wiederherstellung erst auf sauberer Grundlage
Nach der Eindämmung sollten betroffene Systeme nicht einfach wieder in ein produktives Netzwerk eingebunden werden. CISA empfiehlt Offline-Backups, regelmäßige Wiederherstellungstests und den Wiederaufbau in einer sauberen Umgebung. Ein Ransomware-Befund kann Teil einer früheren oder umfassenderen Kompromittierung sein; deshalb ist ein einzelner Scan kein Beleg dafür, dass alle Angreiferzugänge beseitigt sind.
