A Practice or unlimited-random mode is not the same thing as a date-based archive. The quordle.game FAQ documents a ruleset in which every round is unlimited, uses four randomly selected dictionary words, and gives the player nine guesses. That description belongs to the version on that FAQ page; it should not be treated as proof that the current Merriam-Webster game has identical modes or controls.

Can you replay a specific old Quordle Daily?
There is no confirmed yes. A secondary article dated October 4, 2026 reported that the official information it reviewed did not confirm a date-selectable archive. That leaves the practical answer qualified: you may see a Daily button, but the available documentation does not establish that selecting an earlier date—or replaying a known historical Daily by URL—is supported in the current Merriam-Webster product.
Why Practice does not prove an archive exists
Practice and an archive solve different problems. Practice generally means starting another round outside the scheduled Daily. An archive would require a way to identify a particular past puzzle, usually by date or an explicit puzzle number. The quordle.me page shows Daily and Practice controls, while the quordle.game FAQ says its rounds are unlimited and each new round uses four randomly selected dictionary words. Neither fact demonstrates that a player can request yesterday’s or a previous month’s Daily.
What to check on the page you have open
- Look at the control labeled Daily. If it starts one puzzle without exposing a calendar, date field, history list, or puzzle number, the visible interface has not shown a date-selection feature.
- Open Practice only when you want a non-Daily round. Treat the result as a separate play mode, not as a historical Daily.
- Do not infer an archive from a browser back button, a result page, or a streak counter. Those elements can show navigation or results without providing access to a particular earlier puzzle.
- If a page offers a date or puzzle selector, verify that the page identifies the same product you mean to use. The available material does not verify that quordle.me, quordle.game, and the current Merriam-Webster game share one account system or puzzle archive.
If none of those controls is present, the evidence supports only the narrower conclusion that the page does not expose a documented way to choose an old Daily. It does not prove that no internal archive exists; it means the feature is not confirmed for players.

“Not stated” is deliberate: it avoids converting an absent description into a claim that a feature definitely does or does not exist.
What the quordle.game FAQ actually says about play
On the FAQ page at quordle.game, a round works as follows:
- You must solve four five-letter words.
- You receive nine attempts for the round.
- Each guess is applied to all four boards at the same time.
- Color feedback is evaluated independently on each board, so the same guessed letter can receive different feedback in different positions or boards.
- The page describes rounds as unlimited, with four randomly selected dictionary words for each new round.
Those rules explain why an unlimited round can feel like “another game” without being a replay of a dated Daily. Random selection creates a new combination; it does not identify or restore a prior scheduled puzzle. The FAQ also does not state that its implementation is the current Merriam-Webster game.

It is also not established that the counters on quordle.me correspond to any statistics in the current Merriam-Webster game.
For that reason, regard the displayed numbers as page-specific indicators rather than a guaranteed account record. If a statistic matters to you, record the result yourself at the time you finish the puzzle instead of assuming the site will reconstruct it later.
A practical personal tracking method
A simple spreadsheet or note can preserve information that the page does not promise to retain. Use one row per round and record:

Can you change Quordle settings?
The available pages do not document a settings menu for the current Merriam-Webster game. They also do not establish a definitive list of options for quordle.me or quordle.game. “I can see Daily, so where is the date picker?”
A Daily label alone does not establish an archive. Look for an explicit calendar, date field, history list, or puzzle number. If none appears, the feature is unconfirmed for that page. Practice can provide additional play but cannot substitute for a dated replay.

First note which page and browser you used, then check whether you changed devices, browsers, profiles, private browsing, or site-data settings.
