Green Solution Industries of India and the Prague-based International Neurodegenerative Disorders Research Center (INDRC), Z.Ú., have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore joint research, technology development and knowledge exchange. The agreement creates a framework for finding mutually useful projects; it does not announce a funded Alzheimer’s study, a product, or a delivery schedule.
What the MoU covers
The MoU is an exploratory agreement between Green Solution Industries, based in Pune, and INDRC in the Czech Republic. Its purpose is to assess areas where the Indian company’s industrial and technology experience could complement INDRC’s scientific capabilities.

Under the reported scope, the organisations may examine:

- joint research initiatives;
- technology-development work;
- pilot projects to test promising ideas;
- exchange of information, expertise and technical knowledge;
- workshops, seminars and conferences; and
- grants or other funding programmes that could support future work.
Each activity remains subject to a separate decision by the two organisations. Signing the MoU therefore marks the beginning of discussions rather than the launch of a defined programme.

Who signed and who attended
| Person | Role in the announcement |
|---|---|
| Sagar Ahiwale | Managing Director, Green Solution Industries |
| Dr. Vít Dočkal | Chief Executive Officer and Director, INDRC |
| Professor Václav Snášel | INDRC board member |
| Karel Havlíček | Czech Republic First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry & Trade; provided leadership for the event |
| Jayakumar Rawal | Maharashtra Minister for Protocol; provided leadership for the event |
The participation of officials from the Czech Republic and Maharashtra placed the signing in an international and state-level institutional context, but their attendance does not create a government funding commitment for projects under the MoU.
Why INDRC is relevant to the proposed collaboration
INDRC is headquartered in Prague and was established in 2021. Its stated remit covers understanding, early detection, prevention and treatment of neurodegenerative disorders, including Alzheimer’s disease.
The centre describes an interdisciplinary model that brings together:

- biology and medicine;
- artificial intelligence;
- advanced computational methods; and
- connections with universities, research institutions, clinical centres and industry partners.
That combination could give future discussions several possible directions. For example, an industrial partner might contribute engineering, data, manufacturing or technology-integration expertise, while INDRC could contribute disease-focused scientific knowledge and access to academic or clinical networks. The MoU itself does not identify which of these capabilities will be used in a particular project.
Could this become an Alzheimer’s or neurodegenerative-disease project?
It could, but no such project has been announced. INDRC’s research remit makes neurodegenerative disease, including Alzheimer’s, a plausible area for investigation. The agreement only establishes a process for identifying mutual interests and deciding whether a workable initiative exists.
A specific disease-related project would require additional agreements defining its scientific question, methods, data or clinical access, ethics approvals where applicable, responsibilities, funding and measures of success. None of those details has been disclosed for this MoU.

What future work might look like
Scoping and partner selection
The organisations can first map their capabilities and select a problem that fits both sides’ expertise. Relevant tests include scientific fit with INDRC’s neurodegenerative-disease focus, availability of academic or clinical partners and whether the proposed technology is mature enough for a pilot.

Pilot or technology development
If a suitable idea emerges, the parties could design a pilot or a technology-development work package. A credible plan would need a defined objective, technical lead, access to required data or facilities, budget and timetable.
Knowledge exchange and funding
Workshops, seminars and conferences could be used to refine ideas and involve outside researchers. The organisations may also look for grants or other funding programmes before committing to implementation.

These are potential stages suggested by the MoU’s scope, not scheduled milestones or promises of execution.

The agreement does not, by itself, commit either organisation to:

- a project budget or division of costs;
- a start date, completion date or implementation timetable; or
- a guaranteed scientific, commercial or health outcome.
Project responsibilities, budgets and implementation arrangements would have to be agreed separately if the exploratory work identifies a feasible opportunity. The contemporaneous coverage characterises the MoU as a framework for future engagement rather than a binding promise to deliver a particular result.

How to assess any follow-up announcement
The most meaningful evidence of progress will be a later announcement that supplies concrete details. Readers should look for:
- the research question and target disease or use case;
- named laboratories, universities, hospitals or industrial partners;
- technology-readiness and the design of any pilot;
- funding source, budget and duration;
- which organisation is responsible for each workstream; and
- measurable success criteria and a reporting timetable.
Until those details appear, the Pune–Prague agreement should be understood as an opportunity to develop collaboration, not as proof that a treatment, diagnostic system or commercial technology is being built.
