PS5 HDMI port replacement prices depend on your country, console model and whether the motherboard around the port is damaged. Published examples include $159 at one Berkeley, California repair shop, £60.05–£65.05 for different PS5 models at a UK provider, and £79.99 at another UK provider, with a possible extra £30 for damaged motherboard pads or tracks. These are individual shop prices, not national averages or guaranteed quotes.

Why the final quote can be higher than the port price
The HDMI socket is soldered to the PS5 motherboard. Replacing it can require dismantling the console, removing the motherboard, soldering in a new socket, inspecting the connections and testing video output. If the port has pulled away and damaged its solder pads or motherboard tracks, the technician may need to repair those too. Console Wizard lists a £30 surcharge for that work and says it seeks customer approval first.

Before authorizing service, ask the provider to spell out whether its price covers only the socket or also any board-level repair that may be needed. Also confirm:
- Whether diagnosis is charged separately and whether that fee is credited toward the repair.
- Whether shipping, inspection and return delivery are included, and who pays if the repair cannot be completed.
- Whether the shop tests video output and other console functions after the repair.
- The repair warranty’s duration, coverage and exclusions.
- Whether the repair returns your console or involves an exchange or replacement.
For context, PlayStation Japan’s repair page lists ¥30,800 for PS5 main-board replacement. That is an official Japan reference rate, current as of March 2026 according to the page; actual charges may differ and rates can change without notice. It is for a main-board replacement, not an HDMI-port-only repair, and should not be used as a quote for U.S. service.

Check whether the HDMI port is actually the problem
A “No Signal” message does not prove the socket is broken. Other possibilities listed by repair providers include HDMI circuitry or motherboard faults and a console that fails to complete startup.
- If the port looks intact, try a known-working HDMI cable and confirm that the television is set to the matching input. If a different cable works, the original cable may be faulty.
- If the socket is visibly bent, loose or pushed in, or has broken pins, stop inserting or forcing cables and arrange an inspection. Repeated cable swapping can aggravate physical damage.
Warranty and official service considerations
Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC’s PS5 warranty document for the United States and Canada says the limited hardware warranty lasts one year from the original purchase. It excludes damage caused by accidents and damage caused by service or opening the console by anyone other than Sony or an authorized service provider. The document states, “This warranty is valid only in the United States and Canada.” Check the warranty terms for your purchase region and contact official support before opening a console that may still be covered.
