Zoom Phone is a cloud-based business phone system for organizations that need business calling across desktop, mobile, web, and compatible desk-phone devices. It combines business numbers, domestic and international calling, SMS and MMS, fax, call recording, voicemail, auto receptionists, interactive voice response, call queues, shared lines, transfers, and forwarding. It can operate as a standalone calling service or as part of Zoom Workplace, with optional AI features such as voicemail transcription, voicemail prioritization, call summaries, and AI-powered receptionist functions.
The published plans show three monthly per-user options. Metered calling starts at $10 per user per month. North America unlimited costs $15 per user per month and provides unlimited plans in North America. Pro Global Select costs $20 per user per month and provides a Global Select calling plan. Zoom notes that pricing varies by region, calling plan, subscription cycle, and whether Zoom Phone is bundled with Zoom Workplace. That structure gives smaller organizations an entry point while allowing buyers to choose broader calling coverage as their needs change, but the metered plan is less suitable for teams that require unlimited calling.
Platform and ecosystem coverage are notable strengths. Zoom Phone supports web, Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, and API access, with integrations for Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Teams, Google, Slack, and Contact Center. The Zoom Phone API also supports custom applications. Buyers that need one system for calling, routing, messaging, fax, numbers, and business-app connectivity should consider Zoom Phone. Organizations seeking a free phone service, or teams that prefer only unlimited calling from the entry tier, should look elsewhere.
