Zoho eProtect is a cloud-based email security and archiving product for organizations managing cloud or on-premises email services. It supports compliance archiving, eDiscovery investigations, retention policies, legal holds, audit logs, and encrypted archived email data. Its integrations include Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Amazon WorkMail, Microsoft Exchange, and other on-premises email servers. The product is aimed at teams that need configurable email capture and retention workflows across more than one mail platform.

Capture flexibility is a central strength. Administrators can archive messages through journaling, API, or MX flows, giving organizations different ways to connect email systems to the service. Search can filter by sender, recipient, subject, content, dates, and attachments. Investigations can be saved, and archived messages can be downloaded in EML or exported in ZIP and PST formats. These controls make eProtect a practical fit for compliance teams that need searchable records and usable exports rather than simple mailbox backup.

The published product information presents eProtect as contact-sales software. Zoho Mail users receive comparable protection and archival capabilities through certain Zoho Mail and Workplace plans, rather than purchasing eProtect separately. Retention can use configurable default or custom policies, including indefinite retention, while legal holds override retention expiry. AES encryption protects archived email data, and audit logs record administrative actions. Choose eProtect when flexible capture, retention, eDiscovery, and legal-hold controls matter across supported email environments. Consider another option if your organization requires on-premises deployment or a publicly listed standalone plan.
