ZeptoMail review
Pay-as-you-go transactional email with APIs, SMTP relay, webhooks, and reporting.

ZeptoMail is Zoho’s transactional email service for applications and websites. It sends automated messages such as verification codes, password resets, invoices, alerts, confirmations, and welcome emails through either an SMTP relay or REST email API. It suits developers and teams that need application email delivery with domain management, reusable text and HTML templates, suppression controls, email logs, and delivery and engagement reporting. Web and API access support both configuration and programmatic sending.
Pricing is structured around one pay-as-you-go plan rather than recurring tiers. The published price is $2.50 per 10,000 emails, with one credit equal to 10,000 emails. Credits are valid for up to six months, and the plan has no monthly payment. The pricing page also describes a first credit with 10,000 free transactional emails for one month, while the service does not have a permanent free plan. Optional dedicated IP addresses are available, subject to data center availability and eligibility requirements. This model fits senders with variable transactional volume, while teams planning newsletters or bulk marketing campaigns should choose a service intended for those workloads instead.
ZeptoMail’s delivery workflow includes delivery, bounce, open, and click webhooks, giving applications event data for follow-up handling. Domain verification, suppression list management, logs, and reporting add operational controls around application email. Integrations include Zoho Flow, Zoho CRM, Zoho Bigin, WordPress, Joomla, CraftCMS, Drupal, Zapier, Microsoft Power Automate, Make, Workato, WooCommerce, and Magento. Those connections make it suitable for websites, commerce systems, and automation-heavy workflows. Its main boundary is transactional scope, and inbound email is not verified, so teams requiring broader inbound email capabilities or marketing campaign tools should consider an alternative.
