ZEGOCLOUD In-app Chat is a developer-focused chat SDK and API for adding real-time messaging to applications. It supports one-to-one, group, room, and public-channel conversations, making it suitable for social apps, team collaboration, live-streaming chat, gaming, marketplaces, telehealth, and other communication features. The service supports web, Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, Flutter, React Native, Unity, and API development through its SDK and API offering.
Its strongest advantage is breadth. Messages can include text, images, files, audio, video, custom content, or combined formats, while message history, server-side history retrieval, offline messages, offline push notifications, read receipts, delivery status, online-status subscription, and user, group, and conversation management cover the core needs of an in-app chat experience. Content moderation applies to text, image, audio, and video messages. Prebuilt chat UIKit components can also reduce interface work, and APNs and Google FCM support fits common mobile push-notification workflows.
Pricing starts with a Free plan for 100 users, 100 free MAU, and 7 days of free message-history storage. Signaling costs $99 per month and adds unlimited users, 10,000 free MAU, and offline push notifications. Pro costs $369 per month and includes 30 days of free message-history storage, while Enterprise costs $999 per month with 90 days. The Signaling plan does not include historical-message storage in the plan comparison, so teams that need retained history should consider Pro or Enterprise. ZEGOCLOUD In-app Chat suits products needing broad platform coverage and multimedia messaging; teams seeking only a narrow, simple chat feature may find its wider feature set and tier structure more than they need.
