YouniqMail review
A flexible desktop client for organizing email locally with rules, tags, and search.

YouniqMail is a desktop email client for macOS, Windows, and Linux, designed for people who want detailed control over how messages, contacts, and attachments are organized. It connects directly to email providers through IMAP and SMTP, with preconfigured support for services such as Gmail, iCloud, Yahoo, GMX, and WEB.DE. Account and message data are stored locally on the user's device. The freemium product includes a free plan and was in beta when researched.
Its strongest area is organization. Users can apply tags and colored flags, search and filter messages, snooze email until predefined or custom dates and times, and manage attachments with sorting, filtering, searching, and bulk actions. The automation and rules system adds conditions and actions for repeatable workflows, while configurable keyboard shortcuts support faster desktop navigation. Contact management includes sorting, filtering, searching, and bulk editing, giving YouniqMail useful coverage beyond the inbox itself.
YouniqMail also connects with services including Trello, Asana, Notion, and CalDAV through third-party integrations and webhooks. Partial offline access supports reading, searching, organizing, composing, and queuing messages for sending, but the scope is narrower than a fully offline mail system. Its desktop-only focus makes it a better fit for users who work primarily from a computer and value local data storage, flexible rules, and detailed email handling. Users who need mobile apps or a broader device experience should consider another email client.
