YoDraw review
A feature-rich Android drawing app with a three-artwork demo and a $10 one-time upgrade.

YoDraw is an Android drawing app designed for tablet and stylus workflows, aimed at artists who want painting, image-editing tools and frame-by-frame animation in one mobile app. Its brush library supports configurable pressure and tilt response, while palm rejection and configurable gestures are tailored to tablet use. The toolset extends beyond drawing: artists can work with selections, transforms, smudge, clone stamp and liquify, then use image adjustments such as curves, blur and halftone. Perspective and isometric guides, symmetry and drawing assist support more structured work. This breadth makes YoDraw a fit for solo artists who prefer to keep their workflow on an Android device.
The pricing is a free Demo and YoDraw Full, a $10 one-time purchase. The Demo includes the full feature set and export formats, but the gallery is limited to three artworks. Full removes that limit, allows unlimited artworks and includes future updates. According to the vendor's pricing details, Google Play sets local purchase prices, so the displayed amount may vary by country. There is no recurring subscription in the listed plans. Artists can export PNG, JPEG, TIFF, PSD, PDF and GIF; PSD export provides a route to continue work in Adobe Photoshop. For animation, the timeline supports frame-by-frame work and onion skinning, with GIF export available.
The main trade-off is platform and storage scope: YoDraw is Android-only, and artwork is stored on the device rather than synced through a cloud service. That suits artists who want offline use and local files, but not those who need cloud sync or a cross-platform workflow. The substantial layer limit, masks, blend modes and adjustment tools suit detailed illustration, while animation tools add a useful second discipline without requiring a separate listed app. Choose YoDraw if Android tablet drawing, local storage and a one-time purchase fit your workflow; look elsewhere if cloud sync or non-Android access is essential.
