Xara Web Designer is a Windows desktop tool for individuals, small businesses, and professional web designers creating and publishing websites without coding. Its WYSIWYG drag-and-drop editor supports templates, reusable web blocks, global styles, responsive variants, animations, graphics editing, SEO controls, forms, ecommerce, scheduling, and lead-capture integrations. Websites can be published to any hosting provider, and the application works offline after installation and activation.
The current Web Designer+ subscription includes unlimited websites, live prototyping, a template and asset library, cloud-drive integrations, and SEO, marketing, and ecommerce tools. Annual billing costs $12 per user per month, while monthly billing costs $17 per user per month; prices exclude VAT and may vary by billing country. Both listed plans carry the same Web Designer+ name and highlights. A 14-day free trial is available, but there is no free plan. The pricing structure suits a small business or solo designer who needs multiple websites and prefers a lower annual rate.
Its ecosystem covers Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Forms, Jotform, Typeform, PayPal, Stripe, Cartloom, Gumroad, Appointlet, Calendly, SetMore, Mailchimp, and HubSpot. HTML export supports flexible publishing, while responsive site variants and global styles help maintain layouts and visual consistency across screen sizes. The main constraint is platform reach: the product is Windows-only, and the category specifications list one team seat. Choose Xara Web Designer for Windows-based marketing sites that need visual editing, export, and integrated lead, payment, or scheduling tools. Teams needing multiple seats or a non-Windows workflow should consider an alternative.
