Xabber review
A multi-account XMPP client with OMEMO chats and free and paid account options.

For people who want to message through XMPP, Xabber is an open-source client for Android and the web. It supports multiple XMPP accounts at once and can connect to XMPP servers, including Xabber's own service. That makes it a fit for users who want to manage several XMPP accounts in one client, particularly on Android. It also supports device synchronization, file and image sharing, and OMEMO-encrypted chats.
Xabber's account plans center on history storage and file transfer allowances. The Free account includes 30 days of chat history and 100 MB for transferred files. The Enhanced account is $1 per month for free account holders and adds unlimited chat history storage and 350 MB for transferred files. The Premium account is also $1 per month; it includes an account created on premium domains, unlimited chat history storage, and 350 MB for transferred files. These are prices for Xabber accounts and services. Choose a paid option if the free history or file allowance does not suit your needs; the Premium plan's distinguishing listed feature is its account domain.
Beyond messaging, Xabber synchronizes connected devices, loads history on demand, and offers custom notification sounds and keyword-based notifications. OMEMO support is available for encrypted chats, while the client also works with XMPP protocol extensions. Its verified platform range is Android and web, so it is a narrower choice for someone seeking a desktop app. Support is through documentation. Xabber is a sensible option for Android users who want multi-account XMPP messaging and can work within those platforms; people who need a desktop app should look elsewhere.
