Whaller review
A broad, secure workspace for communities that need chat, events, portals, and permissions.

Whaller is a secure social and collaboration platform built around independent spaces called spheres. It is designed for businesses, public organizations, associations, schools, clubs, and other communities that need more than direct messaging. Spheres can support private or public discussions, file and image sharing, surveys, events, video conferences, member directories, portals, and permission management. Access is available through web, Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and self-hosted deployments.
Pricing starts with the free Standard plan, which includes spheres, instant messaging, profiles and directories, an internal portal, video conferencing, and messages with documents, images, links, and events. Pro costs €3 per user per month when billed monthly and adds collaboration tools, a calendar, file box, task Kanban, graphic customization, a public portal, widgets, and badges and rewards. Business adds organization federation, visitor-accessible spheres, a CMS, enhanced roles and profiles, end-to-end encrypted spheres, and Whaller (IA)ssistant. Enterprise adds a white-label website, complete workplace, tailor-made integration, bespoke analytics reporting, custom rights and authorizations, and large file uploads. Business and Enterprise use quotation-based pricing.
Whaller’s breadth is its main distinction from narrower chat tools. Integrations include BigBlueButton, Zoom, Glowbl, OpenSezam, WaToo, Mistral AI, Draft.io, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, LinkedIn, and Zapier. The platform also supports customizable URLs, public and internal portals, moderation tools, event hosting, and unlimited members. Organizations that need structured communities, events, portals, or self-hosting should consider Whaller. Teams seeking a lightweight chat app focused primarily on conversations may prefer a narrower product with fewer collaboration layers.
