Webcam Surveyor is Windows desktop software for recording video and audio from compatible webcams or capture devices. It suits individuals and small businesses that need locally stored webcam monitoring, scheduled recording, or motion-triggered capture without a recurring subscription. The software supports ordinary and continuous recording, time-lapse capture, multiple camera instances, local file review, alerts, automation, and ASF network broadcasting.

The published plans show a 30-day trial followed by a one-time license. The Personal Perpetual License costs $34.99 for individual use on your own computers. The Business Perpetual License costs $49.99 for commercial use on one business computer and adds priority support. Both are perpetual licenses, while the product notes indicate purchased licenses are generally non-refundable, with limited exceptions and a 30-day request window. Paid capabilities include continuous recording with file splitting, motion-triggered capture with pre-motion buffering, time-lapse recording to video or image sequences, and scheduling.

Its strongest fit is a scheduled Windows monitoring workflow. Autostart, the scheduler, command-line automation, and Windows Task Scheduler support recurring operation, while SMTP email, Telegram, and Discord webhooks provide alert routes. The browser for reviewing captured files keeps recorded material accessible within the desktop workflow. Multiple camera instances on one PC broaden its use beyond a single webcam. However, the product stays focused on capture and monitoring: it does not provide virtual-camera or presentation features, and it is not offered for other platforms. Choose it for Windows-based recording, motion detection, alerts, and automation; consider an alternative if presentation tools, virtual-camera output, or broader platform coverage are central requirements.
