VoidGram is a free Instagram scheduling application for creators and small businesses that want local control over publishing data. It runs as a Windows desktop app and handles images, Reels, Stories and multi-image posts. Scheduling supports captions, hashtags, user tags, collaborators, locations and text overlays. It also automatically reposts stories that mention you and provides a unified inbox for Instagram direct messages, mentions and co-author invitations. An Instagram Business or Creator account connected to a Facebook Page is required.
The Free plan costs $0 forever and includes unlimited scheduled posts, the Windows desktop application, and no subscription or account requirement. Media, captions, tokens and history are stored in a local encrypted SQLite database. Scheduling can stay on the desktop or run through an optional Cloudflare Worker in your own account. That setup gives privacy-conscious solo operators and small teams control over where operational data is kept, while adding a Facebook Page connection and an Instagram professional account to onboarding.
VoidGram also fits automation-oriented workflows through a local REST API and MCP server, with integrations for Claude Code and Claude Desktop. One-click Meta OAuth login handles account connection. Its publishing scope covers feed posts, Stories and Reels, and the inbox brings several Instagram interactions into one place. The trade-off is a narrow planning and reporting layer: analytics and a visual planner are not included. Windows is the currently available desktop platform, and support is community-based. Choose VoidGram when local storage, free scheduling and API automation matter most; choose a broader Instagram marketing suite if visual planning, analytics or wider platform coverage are central requirements.
