Virtual Guitarist review
A guitar-focused plug-in family for MIDI-triggered phrases, playable parts and DAW export.

Virtual Guitarist is a family of guitar instrument plug-ins from UJAM for producers, composers and songwriters who want guitar parts in a DAW. Its sampled performances span acoustic, electric, rock, cinematic and sound-designed styles. Player Mode triggers phrases with MIDI, while selected products also offer Instrument Mode for playing guitar from a MIDI keyboard. The focus is accompaniment and guitar performance generation, rather than a broad collection of instrument types.
The individual plug-in price is a one-time US$129, and the Guitarist Bundle is listed at US$249. Included features vary by product, but the family combines sampled performances with guitar amp and speaker simulation, stomp-box effects and Finisher multi-effects. A preset browser and interactive on-screen keyboard support sound selection and control. Included MIDI phrases and sounds are royalty-free for commercial productions. A 7-day trial is documented for IRON 2; trial availability and duration may vary across the family, so check the product being considered before purchase.
Virtual Guitarist works as a plug-in on Windows and macOS, with VST3, AU and AAX formats. It integrates with DAWs including Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Pro Tools, FL Studio, Cubase, Studio One, Bitwig, Reaper and Reason. MIDI drag-and-drop export provides another route for moving phrase material into a DAW. Choose it if guitar-focused parts, effects and phrase-based performance fit the arrangement; look elsewhere if the main need is a wider range of instrument families or a free plan. The bundle suits buyers comparing multiple Virtual Guitarist products, while a single plug-in is the lower-cost entry.
