Videorc is an open-source desktop studio for creators who need local screen, camera, and microphone recording alongside streaming. It supports scene composition with backgrounds, a local recordings library, webcam layouts, and system-audio capture on macOS. Its strongest fit is creators who want an open-source workflow that combines recording with distribution and publishing support rather than a broad, dedicated video editor.

The free Open Source plan includes local recording, macOS recording up to 4K, system-audio capture on macOS, a local library, and multistreaming to up to five destinations on macOS Beta. The Premium plan costs $39 per month with monthly billing or $32.50 per month with annual billing. Both Premium options add 4K30 or 1080p60 single-streaming where supported, live captions with synced .srt files, an AI publishing pipeline, publish-pack generation, noise cleanup, and experimental editing tools. The paid tier is most relevant when captions, higher-quality streaming, and automated metadata are part of the publishing workflow.

Videorc connects with YouTube, Twitch, X, TikTok, Instagram, and custom RTMP, giving streaming-focused creators several distribution paths. The platform picture is uneven: the macOS track is in beta, while the Windows 11 x64 track is in alpha and does not currently promise system-audio capture, 4K/60, streaming, captions, or every Premium workflow. That makes Videorc a better choice for open-source creators comfortable with release-stage software, especially on macOS. Creators who need mature Windows coverage, dependable access to the full Premium workflow, or deeper editing should choose a more established alternative.
