VideoDuke is a macOS desktop application for downloading videos, audio, subtitles, and other media files from online services. It suits Mac users who want one tool for sources such as YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, TikTok, Reddit, Bandcamp, SoundCloud, Twitch, Tumblr, and Twitter. The app supports formats including MP4, 3GP, FLV, M4V, MP3, and SRT, with resolution selection up to 8K.

Pricing is straightforward, with two one-time license options. The Personal License costs $29.95 and supports macOS 10.12 or later. The Family Pack costs $49.95 and covers 3 Macs, also for macOS 10.12 or later. Both plans provide access to the same core product rather than separating features into multiple paid tiers. A limited demo is available before purchase, while the paid application adds broad download coverage, playlist and batch support, subtitle downloads, and audio extraction including MP3.

Its strongest advantage is breadth within a focused desktop workflow. Simple and Advanced download modes accommodate different levels of control, while the built-in browser, browser integration, bookmarks, and download history support repeat use. The main trade-off is platform scope: Windows and other operating systems are not included. The official site also warns that YouTube download functionality may currently be limited. Mac users seeking 8K downloads across many supported services should find the feature set well aligned with that use case; users on another platform or primarily dependent on YouTube should consider a different downloader.
