UnMixLabs review
A free browser tool with unusually deep separation and music-workflow exports.
Reviewed by iTechGuides Editors · Editorial team · Updated Oct 2026
UnMixLabs is a browser-based audio stem separation service for musicians, producers, podcasters, karaoke users, and creators. Its separation options range from four stems—vocals, drums, bass, and other—to six stems that isolate guitar and piano, plus a 53-stem instrument mode. It also covers related audio tasks such as vocal isolation, karaoke video generation with synchronized lyrics, MIDI extraction, beat-grid creation, dereverberation, and audio cleanup. That breadth makes it a fit for people who want to split music and carry the results into additional editing workflows, rather than only extract a vocal or instrumental track.
The free plan is currently available during beta and includes 10 minutes of processing per month, a 100 MB maximum file size, one file at a time, WAV, MP3, and FLAC output, and 24-hour file retention. The published Pro plan is $10.99 per month for 300 minutes with rollover, files up to 1 GB, batches of up to 20 files, and 30-day retention. Studio is listed at $24.99 per month, with 1,500 minutes and rollover, 2 GB files, batches of up to 50, and API access for batch automation. Both paid plans are marked planned and not yet launched, so the free beta is the current option described by the vendor.
Workflow coverage extends beyond separated audio: UnMixLabs offers stem-to-MIDI extraction, beat-grid TSV export, karaoke video, vocal dereverberation and restoration, and REAPER session export. The listed platform is web, and REAPER is its sole named integration, so creators centered on other desktop tools should consider whether exporting files is sufficient for their workflow. Pick UnMixLabs if free access and unusually detailed instrument separation matter more than broad platform integration. Look elsewhere if you need a currently available paid tier, higher free-plan capacity, or an integration ecosystem beyond REAPER.
