Trimble Connect review
A capable common data environment with model coordination, clash detection, and API access.

Trimble Connect is a cloud-based common data environment for architecture, engineering, construction, geospatial, and related project teams. It centralizes project files and model data, supports 2D and 3D viewing, and provides comments, tags, tasks, file sharing, property sets, and model organization. Teams can use clash sets to detect model conflicts and clearances, exchange IFC files, view models on mobile devices, and access project and model data through REST APIs. It fits multi-discipline coordination more closely than model authoring.
Pricing spans several plan families. The Business plan costs $12.99 per user per month and includes unlimited projects, collaborators, external stakeholders, project data uploads and sharing, integrated task management and clash detection, plus web, Windows, and mobile access. Business Premium costs $23.95 per user per month and adds advanced BIM tools, enriched 3D workflows, Workflow Extensions access, and desktop and field applications. Pro costs $349 per user per year, while Innovate costs $499 per user per year; Innovate adds data analysis tools, Visualizer, Revit Application, and Object Manager to Pro's viewers, comments, tags, file sharing, property sets, applications, and Shared Object Model. A Trial plan provides access to all features for 30 days.
Platform fit is a strong part of the offering. Trimble Connect works through web, Windows, and mobile applications and integrates with SketchUp, ProjectSight, Tekla Structures, Tekla PowerFab, Trimble SysQue, Stabicad, and Trimble Nova. That combination suits teams coordinating shared project information across design, construction, and field workflows. Choose it when cloud coordination, model viewing, clash review, and controlled project data access matter more than native BIM authoring. Teams seeking deeper authoring capabilities should compare it with a platform centered on creating building models rather than managing and coordinating them.
