Trillian is an instant-messaging platform for individuals, businesses, and healthcare organizations that need private, persistent conversations. It combines group chats, searchable chat history, file and image sharing, presence indicators, audio and video calls, and screen sharing. Clients cover web browsers, Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android, while Enterprise deployments can use an optional on-premises Trillian Server. The overall fit is strongest for organizations that want persistent chat without making a large collaboration suite the center of their workflow.

The Individual Free plan costs $0 per user and includes desktop, mobile, and browser access, along with messages, images, files, and group chats. Individual Pro adds chat history access from any device, read receipts, themes, blast messages, and increased device and storage limits. The Business plan moves into organizational controls with centralized user administration, employee contact-list controls, 1:1 video calls, screen sharing, RESTful API access, and chat bot support. Enterprise adds optional on-premises deployment, HIPAA compliance enablement, advanced device security policies, 2FA, compliance exports, and customizable data retention. Business and Enterprise plans have a five-user minimum.

Trillian's platform range is a practical strength, especially for teams supporting mixed operating systems or self-hosted requirements. Its listed integrations include Olark, Jabber, Global Relay, Active Directory, OpenLDAP, Duo, and RSA SecurID, supporting selected messaging, directory, security, and compliance workflows. The tradeoff is a narrower integration footprint than products built around extensive app ecosystems. Choose Trillian when persistent chat, multi-platform access, administration, retention, or on-premises deployment matter most. Organizations that depend on a broad catalog of everyday business integrations should consider a chat product with wider ecosystem coverage.
