translate5 is an open-source translation management system for language service providers, translation departments, and other professional language teams. Its browser-based translation and review editor supports translation memories, fuzzy matches, terminology management through TermPortal, workflow assignment, comments, and review. It also includes document alignment, instant text and file translation, automated quality checks, and optional visual layout and print approval workflows. Teams can operate it in the cloud, on premises, or across a hybrid environment.

Annual pricing is organized around four plans. User-based — limited features costs €2,400 per year and includes one main user plus 10 linguists, unlimited words, a cloud offer, and optional on-premises deployment. User-based — all features costs €4,440 per year with the same user structure and adds all features. Volume-based costs €10,900 per year, supports unlimited users, includes 2,000,000 words per year, and includes all features. The Flatrate plan includes unlimited words and users with all features. A 30-day free trial is available, but there is no free plan. Organizations should compare the user and volume models against their team size and translation volume before selecting a tier.

The ecosystem is a major part of translate5’s fit. Integrations include DeepL, Google Translate, Microsoft Translator, Lucy, Moses, SDL LanguageCloud, TildeMT, OpenTM2, SDL GroupShare, Plunet, WorldServer, OpenAI, Llama, DeepSeek, and Gemini. Its REST API supports GUI automation and system integration, while plugins and optional components extend the platform. translate5 suits organizations that need open-source control, browser-based workflows, terminology, QA, and deployment flexibility. Teams seeking a free product or an offline desktop CAT application should choose another option.
