Topicbox review
A focused home for shared discussions, with searchable archives and topic-based delivery.

Topicbox is a hosted group email service for teams and communities that need shared discussion addresses rather than a broad mailing-list toolkit. Members can send messages to a group address, then read and reply through their usual email program or the web interface. Shared archives preserve conversation history, and public or private groups let administrators control access. That makes it a fit for small and mid-market teams that want ongoing discussions to stay findable without asking everyone to change their email habits.
Its most distinctive strength is the combination of archived conversation and flexible reading preferences. Members can search past messages, subscribe to topics, and choose immediate delivery or a daily summary; administrators can also moderate messages through web administration. These features support ongoing team or community conversations better than a one-way announcement list. The tradeoff is focus: Topicbox centers on discussion groups, so organizations looking for a broader mailing-list management system may find its scope too narrow.
According to the vendor's pricing page, the monthly plans are Public at $10, Private at $15, and Business at $20. Public includes unlimited public groups, one private group with a maximum of 10 members, and search one group at a time. Private adds unlimited private groups and organization-wide search; Business adds email and phone support and the option to use your own domain. All three list email support, and Topicbox offers a 90-day trial, not a free plan. Choose it when shared email discussions and searchable history are the priority; look elsewhere if you need a free tier or broader list-management capabilities.
