TonalEnergy Tuner & Metronome is a paid music-practice application for beginners, educators, performers and professional musicians. It combines a Chromatic Target Tuner with C0-C8 pitch recognition, string tuning pages, adjustable concert A reference pitch, alternate temperaments, tone generation, metronome controls, recording, analysis and practice tracking. It is available through retail apps for iOS and Android, a Windows and macOS desktop application, and TE for Education for schools and organizations.

The pricing structure separates retail apps from desktop and education licensing. The iOS and Android retail apps include different feature combinations: iOS lists tuner and metronome, audio and video recording, and practice tracking, while Android lists tuner and metronome, sound analysis, and audio recording. The Windows/Mac desktop plan costs $9.99 one time and supports installation on up to five computers, with multi-window and PDF click-track features. TE for Education costs $6.99 per license per year, includes access on multiple device types, and has no in-app purchases. There is no free plan.

Its strongest distinction is the depth of practice tooling around the tuner. The advanced metronome offers custom click tracks and 32 sounds, while recording includes editing and timestretch. Waveform, spectral and pitch analysis sit alongside practice streaks and intonation history tracking. Ableton Link, Bluetooth, MIDI and external microphone support, plus Dropbox, Google Drive, AirDrop and AudioCopy integrations, extend its fit across practice and performance setups. Musicians who need tuning, timing, recording and analysis in one application should consider it; those seeking only a straightforward tuner may find its wider feature set unnecessary.
