three.ws Avatar SDK is an open-source toolkit for developers adding rigged 3D avatars to websites and applications. It combines web components, React 18+ bindings, an avatar creator, a lightweight Three.js viewer, cloud upload helpers, and an AI avatar runtime. The product is aimed at interactive agents, profile experiences, avatar embeds, and other web-based 3D interfaces rather than general-purpose 3D production.

The Free plan provides 1 agent and 1 custom avatar, unlimited <agent-3d> embeds, a default rig, 200 animation clips, voice chat, lipsync, and community support. Pro costs $49 per month and adds unlimited agents and custom avatars, custom voice cloning, an animation studio, memory seeds, a custom subdomain embed, priority email support, and an SLA. Annual billing offers a 17% saving. Enterprise adds a self-hosted runtime option, white-label embed and API support, custom rigs and licensing, SSO, audit logs, and dedicated infrastructure.

Its strongest fit is the web stack: React bindings, Three.js with OrbitControls, GLB and glTF loading, GLB avatar creation, iOS AR Quick Look USDZ support, R2 storage integration, and a self-hostable package give developers several deployment paths. The runtime also covers chat, voice, lipsync, animation, and skills in one browser-focused toolkit. Teams looking for web deployment, open-source access, or self-hosting should shortlist it. Those needing a broader game-engine workflow or a tool centered on non-web production should consider alternatives designed for those environments instead.
