Tencent RTC is a cloud service for developers building real-time audio and video experiences. Its RTC Engine provides SDKs and APIs for voice and video calls, interactive and broadcast live streaming, cloud recording, mixtranscoding, CDN relay, RTMP publishing and playback, screen sharing, spatial audio, and AI capabilities. It supports web, Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and API development, with applications including education, telehealth, social interaction, collaboration, online events, and live experiences. The category specifications list support for up to 300 participants.
Pricing is organized around a seven-day Free Trial with 10,000 free minutes, followed by Lite at $49.50 per month for 50,000 package minutes, recording, mixtranscoding, CSS relay, and ticket and email support. Standard costs $499 per month for 500,000 package minutes and adds AI noise suppression, third-party CDN relay, and RTMP publishing and playback. Pro costs $1,499 per month for 1,500,000 package minutes, scaled and region-of-interest video coding, 3D spatial audio, 2K/4K quality, and voice changer effects. Annual top-up packages provide 25,000, 250,000, or 1,000,000 prepaid minutes.
Tencent RTC is particularly suited to teams already working with Tencent Cloud CSS, Tencent Cloud VOD, or Tencent Cloud IM. Its ecosystem fit pairs with a wide feature set, including mobile SDKs, on-cloud recording, media-device management, conversational AI, and speech AI. The trade-off is cost structure: there is no ongoing free plan, and several advanced capabilities are reserved for higher tiers. Choose Tencent RTC when Tencent Cloud integration and broad real-time media coverage matter. Teams seeking a continuing no-cost option or a narrower, lower-cost video API should consider another product.
