Telnyx Voice API provides REST APIs and call-control capabilities for programmable voice applications. Developers can place and receive PSTN calls, provision phone numbers, control call flows, stream media, transcribe speech, synthesize speech, record calls, and add conversational AI commands. It is suited to customer communications, contact centers, voice assistants, and browser or mobile calling experiences across web, iOS, Android, and API environments.

The published plans show a usage-based entry point with Pay as you go pricing: $0 per month minimum, standard usage rates, no minimum spend, and automatic tier discounts as usage increases. The starting usage price is $0.002 per minute. The Committed plan costs $500 per month and adds discounted usage rates, a named account manager, priority support, and higher limits. Enterprise costs $5,000 per month and adds dedicated infrastructure and IPs, private interconnect, and unlimited rate limits. Voice API usage rates are published separately from SIP trunking and carrier charges, so buyers should account for those pricing areas when estimating costs.

Its platform coverage is a major strength for teams that need more than basic call placement. Telnyx supports secure WebSocket media streaming, WebRTC browser and mobile calling, SIP and SIPREC connectivity, TeXML, call routing and transfer controls, and API call recording. Speech capabilities include Telnyx STT, Telnyx TTS, Deepgram, Whisper, and AssemblyAI integrations, while phone-number search, provisioning, and management support the surrounding communications workflow. SDK languages include JavaScript, Python, and Ruby. Choose Telnyx when voice, telephony controls, and AI features need to share one API-oriented platform; teams seeking a free plan or a narrowly focused calling service should look elsewhere.
