TechExcel ProjectOne ALM is an application lifecycle management platform for product development teams. It brings together requirements management, task and defect tracking, test case management and execution, release and cycle planning, workflow automation, reporting, and end-to-end traceability. Teams can use it for agile or traditional delivery, with templates for agile development and waterfall processes. Its modular structure makes it a fit for small teams that want to start with focused capabilities and expand into broader lifecycle coverage.

Pricing is organized by module and billing term. According to the vendor’s pricing page, DevTrack with KnowledgeWise costs $10 per user per month with annual billing and includes Agile Scrum or Kanban, task and defect management, workflow support, and a RESTful API. DevSpec for Requirements and DevTest with Jira Integration each cost $20 per user per month with annual billing. DevSuite for Total Traceability costs $35 per user per month with annual billing and combines requirements-to-testing traceability, requirements management, and test case management and execution. Per-user prices are also published at $150, $600, $600, and $900 respectively; month-to-month cloud billing adds 20%.

ProjectOne’s breadth is its main differentiator. Requirements, roadmaps, baselines, custom workflows, testing, release planning, dashboards, reports, mobile project updates, and offline mode are covered across the offering. Integrations include Jira, Bugzilla, Rally, Ranorex, TestComplete, TestLink, Microsoft Word, Kloud, and RESTful APIs. DevTest supports Jira or DevTrack defect submission, while the broader DevSuite is aimed at teams that need unified traceability. Choose ProjectOne when modular adoption or lifecycle links matter; teams seeking a free starting point or a narrowly focused tool should consider alternatives.
