Tandoor Recipes review
A flexible recipe manager for shared collections, meal plans and self-hosting.

Tandoor Recipes helps cooking enthusiasts organize digital recipes, plan meals and share collections with family or friends. It runs as a hosted subscription or open-source software that users can self-host, making it a fit for people who want control over deployment as well as a shared recipe library. The web app includes a recipe editor, collection management, search and tools for scaling recipes or customizing recipe data.
Its workflow connects recipe storage to meal planning and shopping. Users can import recipes from websites that support ld+json or microdata, or bring in collections from other recipe managers. Search includes full-text search, and meal plans can cover multiple meals per day. Recipes and plans can generate shopping lists, which can be shared and synced. Dropbox, Nextcloud and Home Assistant integrations extend its ecosystem. The import format requirement is worth considering if a reader’s preferred recipe sites do not support those formats.
The free plan requires no credit card. The listed monthly prices are €1.99 for Basic, €4.49 for Standard and €6.49 for Premium AI; all three paid plans list email support, while the available highlights do not distinguish their other inclusions. Tandoor also lists AI features, without specifying them here. Hosted availability is currently limited to Germany, so users elsewhere should consider the self-hosted option instead. Overall, Tandoor suits people who value collaboration, meal planning and deployment choice; cooks who want a broadly available hosted service or clearly differentiated paid tiers may prefer another recipe app.
