SynthEyes is standalone software for camera, object, geometry, and planar tracking in visual-effects production. It is aimed at independent artists, VFX studios, virtual-production teams, filmmakers, architectural visualizers, VR/AR developers, and scientific users. Its central workflow combines 3D camera solving with lens calibration, stabilization, motion capture, object isolation, scene alignment, and export to downstream 3D and compositing applications. Support for Windows, macOS, Linux, and an API makes it suitable for varied production environments.

Pricing is offered as a standalone application subscription at $325 per year with annual billing or $62 per month with monthly billing. A 14-day free trial is available, while there is no free plan. The annual option lowers the listed monthly equivalent compared with monthly billing, but the product remains a paid tool from the start of a longer-term subscription. Buyers should match the billing option to their production schedule and the need for continued access to the application.

SynthEyes is strongest when a project needs more than basic point tracking. Its feature set spans automatic and supervised tracking, planar and object tracking, geometric-hierarchy tracking, stereoscopic workflows, anamorphic and fisheye lens models, 360-degree stabilization, motion-capture workflows, and Mask ML for object separation. Multi-Export, USD/USDZ import and export, and the Sizzle and Python scripting API/SDK extend its fit across pipelines using Blender, Houdini, LightWave, Nuke, After Effects, Maya, 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, Fusion/Resolve, or Flame. Choose SynthEyes for tracking-heavy VFX and camera-solving work; simpler projects may not need its specialist breadth or paid subscription.
