Swissmail is a paid email service from Interway Network Systems AG, with servers and stored data located in Switzerland and service governed by Swiss law. It is aimed at people who want a conventional mailbox with webmail, IMAP or POP access, filtering, server-side rules, calendar, contacts, tasks, notes, and reminders. The service also supports two-factor authentication and desktop mail clients, making it suited to users who value familiar email workflows over a free consumer account.

The published mailbox plans scale mainly by storage and message size. Swissmail Box Basic costs $2.20 per month for 30GB and a 20MB maximum mail size. Standard costs $4.40 per month and raises storage to 150GB and message size to 50MB, while adding email alias addresses and mailing lists. Professional costs $6.10 per month for 500GB and a 100MB maximum mail size, with aliases, mailing lists, SMS/Fax, and premium support. Swissmail Server Corporate costs $10 per month and adds a customer-owned domain, central mailbox administration, five included mailboxes, 1000GB of storage, an expandable server, and premium support.

For platform fit, Swissmail combines browser access with IMAP and POP support for Outlook, Thunderbird, and Apple Mail. Antispam and antivirus filtering, email rules, and the included calendar, contacts, tasks, notes, and reminders give it broader personal-organizer coverage than a mailbox-only service. Its privacy posture is defined by Swiss hosting and encrypted email transmission, while the stated encryption scope does not extend beyond transmission. Choose Swissmail if storage, classic mail-client access, and Swiss hosting are priorities. Consider another service if a free entry tier or broader encryption coverage is essential.
