StroyGetter review
A music-focused downloader with strong MP3 preparation and a narrower source range.

StroyGetter is a free, open-source video and audio downloader for people who mainly retrieve content from YouTube, TikTok and Twitch. It works through a web service and also offers a native desktop app for Windows, macOS and Linux. Video downloads use MP4, while audio extraction produces MP3 files. Its strongest fit is for music-focused users who want downloaded tracks prepared for library software rather than a general-purpose downloader covering a wide range of sources.
Music handling is the product’s clearest strength. YouTube audio extraction is listed at 190 kbps, and “Library Ready” MP3 files can include cover art, ID3 tags and synchronized lyrics. Integrations with Apple Music, Plex, Rekordbox, foobar2000, MusicBrainz and LRClib support workflows around music libraries and metadata. The native app keeps download history locally and runs without the web server, while the code is open source under the MIT license. TikTok downloads can be made with or without a watermark, and Twitch clip downloads are supported.
The main trade-off is source coverage and current web-service availability. The supported sources are YouTube, TikTok and Twitch, with output focused on MP4 and MP3 rather than a broader format range. YouTube downloads through the website are temporarily unavailable because YouTube flagged the server IP; TikTok and Twitch downloads are working, and the native app is presented as an alternative. StroyGetter suits users who value local operation, open-source software and music metadata. Users needing a wider source catalog or dependable YouTube access through the web service should choose a different downloader.
