StrikePlagiarism is a web-based academic integrity system for universities, schools, publishers, researchers, and individual authors. Its core function is similarity checking across open internet sources, scientific journals, academic repositories, university databases, publisher collections, and partner databases. Interactive reports show similarity coefficients, source breakdowns, and citation tracking. The product also covers grammar and spelling, paraphrasing, translated-text similarity, altered alphabets, microspaces, hidden characters, and AI-generated content. That breadth makes it suited to institutions managing varied academic submissions as well as authors checking individual documents.
Pricing is structured around access rather than a standard monthly subscription. The individual token plan costs $2.5 per token, with one token checking up to 18,000 characters and remaining valid for six months. Additional checking services may increase the final price. A free plan is available, with regional terms that include 10 free checks per month of 500 characters on the Azerbaijani pricing page. Institutions should therefore review the applicable regional offer and estimate token needs before choosing this model. It suits occasional or document-based checking, while organizations seeking a fixed recurring budget may prefer software with simpler subscription pricing.
For academic operations, StrikePlagiarism extends beyond a report generator. Assignment management includes deadlines, resubmissions, notifications, and cross-checking between submissions, while instructors can share reports and add feedback comments. The REST API supports document submission and similarity-report access, and integrations include Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, Brightspace, Schoology, OJS, LDAP, and LTI 1.3. Those options fit schools and publishers with established digital workflows. Individual users or smaller teams that only need straightforward similarity checks may find the assignment, integration, and detection coverage broader than necessary.
