StrawPoll review
A capable polling platform for large anonymous votes, with useful automation and export tools.

StrawPoll is a web-based polling platform for individuals, groups, communities, classes and organizations. It supports anonymous, group, meeting and ranked-choice polls, with shareable links and real-time results displayed through pie charts and bar graphs. Unlimited participants make it suitable for large audiences, while poll deadlines, bot and VPN vote detection, and multiple distribution options support more structured voting. Its strongest fit is polling infrastructure rather than a full presentation or audience-engagement suite.
The freemium plan structure gives users a free starting point with unlimited polls and unlimited votes, although free voting includes ads and the plan includes 50 email invites per month. Basic adds 500 ad-free votes and 500 email invites per month, plus custom poll links. Pro raises those quotas to 5,000, adds three shared workspace seats and CAPTCHA protection. Business raises them to 50,000, includes 10 shared workspace seats, and adds custom logo and CSS. The published plans also include one-time and annual options, with paid tiers focused on higher quotas, collaboration, protection and branding.
StrawPoll also fits teams that need to move poll data beyond a standalone link. Website and CMS embedding, webhooks, Microsoft Excel export, a poll creation and result-analysis API, and a Discord poll bot support distribution and workflow connections. The platform can detect bot and VPN voting, but it is less suited to events that depend on verified live Q&A, quizzes or presentation integrations. Choose it for anonymous voting, ranked-choice decisions and embedded polls; choose an alternative when presentation-led interaction or broader event features are central.
